My little Pony: Equestria Girls - Movie

So I was thinking about this movie the other day and realized something.
Equestria Girls does little to nothing for the show.
~It establishes there is a human alternate reality of Equestria
~Elements of Harmony go wacko outside Equestria (universe or country/planet?)

That's about it unless you count Twilight's crush, which probably won't appear again if not just a few times.
For Twilight it:
~Established she cannot control her wings
~Learned a lesson about how to rule over others

That's all I can think of.
I just hope some of you don't see Equestria Girls as some kind of blight on the series, cause lets all admit that the writing is lazy in a few too many areas. But it doesn't really do any harm to the series, it didn't happen in Pony Equestria so we won't see anyone mentioning anything relating to the movie unless it's Twilight or Spike and it didn't in any way bash on the lore, story or characters (At LEAST from what I could see in the film).
It's a film that should have been better than it was but it doesn't do anything to harm the series. Plus it was still enjoyable to watch so I think it's a good film overall, even if it's goodness comes from how bad it is at moments.

I think it was just for a happy looking scene, I wouldn't go nuts over a 3 second shot of Twilight flying, especially since it had no relevance to the story.

Darn! my Equestria Girls DVD arrived cracked! Now I can't watch it until my new one arrives! EDIT: I recieved my new DVD and I love it! My brothers hate it.

I LOVELOVELOVED the songs! They were all so catchy and simply EXCELLENT 
The designs for the girls were also nice to take in

But the writing... could use more work 
Since the show's target audience is young girls, it is understandable that the plot is straightforward with more focus on the character's personalities and supposedly funny moments. But when the 'high school' theme and gruesome battle (where Sunset Shimmer turns into a horrifying demon) comes to mind, it makes it seem as though the story had neither been meant for young girls nor bronies of our age.

However

Yes, the plot could use some work, but the other elements of the movie are just UNDENIABLY AWESOME    The transformation was rather refreshing tbh :DD

I hate those two. They are the only characters I truly hate in this series. They're the main reason I can't rewatch Boast Busters.

Did I mention that I think Snips still looks like a pony in his human form? God it's like the worst thing ever. I'm kinda glad that's what I hate most about MLP FIM because he's not a main character, just some stupid henchman for villains.
Though I do wish there was something better...

I saw it recently and showed it to my younger sisters (They LOVE MLP.) It was better than I expected. It was good, but the word that I think describes it the best is AWKWARD! Also the remix opening theme was awesome! Music was good. Plot fairly good. Trixie and the peanut butter crackers were good too. And DERPY at the end .

There are lots more awkward parts.

Overall: good movie, AWKWARD, Would watch it again sometime.
