finally my oc

Hi everyone i finally got a nice looking oc. Dapple drew it for me and i think it looks awesome   

Here is some Background:

Name: Hapony Hanzo
Age: 23
Cutie Mark: Hanzo Clan - Coat of Arms
Profession: Ninja

Home: Hapony comes from an Island far away from Equestria were friendship isn't known and Pony Clans are constantly fighting over territory and resources. Because of that mistrust and hate, the island is cold and Storms are constantly raging around it.

Parents: Unknown even to himself, he lost them when he was a very young and he got found by a Member of the Hanzo Clan in a forest. They even gave him his name.

The everyday live on the island:  It's cold on the island and everypony wears warm clothes. It's hard to even survive a day cause not many plants can grow, they eat a special snow fruit that grows under the earth but this fruit isn't tasty at all.  The ponies are very unhappy and are constantly fighting about resources even Members of the same Clan  fight each other.

The culture on the island: The ponies on the island only believe in cold steel and doesn't care about magic, even unicorns only use their magic to enhance their ability to fight.  Everyone trains to be a good fighter and wants to get honor. Pegasus ponies can't fly for a long time at the island cause of the cold and stormy sky, that's why they use their wings for short flying attack techniques.

How he get his Cutie Mark: Hapony got trained in the fighting style of the Hanzo Clan and got better at it then everyone else. At a mission he was able to save his comrades due to great leadership, that's why he got appointed to be the next leader of the Clan, at that moment he got his cutie mark. Cause his destiny is to lead his Clan.

Special somepony: Hapony had a special somepony at the island but he don't knows what happened to her after he fell of the cliff. She was a member of the opposing Clan but fell in love with him. Originally it was her mission to defeat him, but she couldn't do it, when her leader heard that, he did everything to catch her. Hapony rushed to her rescue defeated her master and fled with her to the coast, their followers catched up and as Hapony turned around at a cliff he tripped and fell down. The only thing he saw was how his special somepony looked at him and got caught by their followers.

How Hapony ends up in Equestria: Hapony fell into the ocean and due to a storm he couldn't swim back. Then he drifted on the ocean for several days on a piece of wood, until he got washed ashore in a land he never has seen before,Equestria.

Personality: Hapony doesn't talk much and often does stuff alone and he never wanted a partner for his missions. He also is very loyal to his clan it's the most important thing to him. Sometimes he had the chance to prove that he is a great leader as well and that he would even offer himself to save his comrades.

You introduce an entirely new civilization of ponies, so I think your first step should be establishing the culture briefly. I know you say they fight and stuff, but I'm looking for what they do when NOT fighting. Since he is from the Hanzo Clan, perhaps you could explain a little about their everyday lives and customs. We will need to know these sort of things, since he suddenly finds himself and a strange new land with completely different customs!

I'm normally against swords and "weapons", but if he still has his sword from his homeland, it is a part of him. But he better not ever use it to kill anything, even in the defense of something else. That doesn't mean he can't use it, he just can't kill with it... or even injure, for that matter. I think threatening something with it is the most he'll be able to get away with in Equestria. Unless this is an action movie, violence is never the answer when we have Friendship!

Maybe a little bit about his personality too, which I'm guessing he's the silent, loyal type.

I think what you have now is suitable for establishing your character. I don't see any blaring flaws.
