So we know that the mane 6 have some type of family.
Applejack has her Grandmother, Brother, and little sis
Pinkie has her whole rock family
RD has her father
Twi has her parents and brother...and step sister
Rarity has her parents and little sis
But


Fluttershy has no family. so she is an orphan

plus she is  the only one in the mane 6 that doesn't have a quick emote that smiles

Before Season 3, we didn't know Rainbow Dash had a father and had just assumed she didn't, until they showed us.

Fluttershy's family might just be waiting for Season 4.

Like the others said, we hadn't seen Rainbow Dash's father until The Equestria Games episode.

By the way, Applejack's parents are insinuated to be gone. If I remember correctly, Lauren Faust wanted to depict them as being dead. So, technically, Applejack is an orphan, considering that the definition of orphan is "a child who has lost both parents through death"

Fluttershy is not a orphan! Because her family bought a cottage for her and her animals! Then her family had to move really far away!!!!!!!!! Maybe if you did more research, you would know that too.

This should help you. But we don't exactly know if that was Rainbow dash's dad. Maybe that was her older brother, or uncle.

Rainbow Dash still continues to live in Cloudsdale and comes down to Ponyville to hang out with her friends. My guess is that since Fluttershy was young when she got knocked off, her parents didn't see her after that day and got worried. Being worried they decided to search Equestria for her. She's not an orphan her parents are just concerned for her and are looking for her.
