Mist does as the others, grabbing a hymnal as well. He normally sat near the back, so was able to nap... His body wasn't used to staying up during a service. He waits for the page to be announced.

"Page 3, all in time unlike last time" The organ starts and a rather slow and melancholy hymn begins to be sung. The official next to Mist seems to be ruffling around in his pocket.



"Reading? Pff. I can do that later. So is it a missionary thing or what?"

Silver: If you blow our cover after we get there you'll be in for it upon our return to home. (gives him a scowl)

Mist doesn't notice what the official next to him is doing, singing along to the song. His head is buried in the book.

"Oh who gives one! The faster I get out of that blasted army the better!" He whacks his paddle down into the sea, and the boat wobbles to one side



The official takes his hoof out of his pocket and gets out a small piece of paper, and still looking at his hymn book slides it to Mist

Mist, who was way too engrossed in reading random things from the next page, was entirely surprised by the sudden paper sliding into his hymnal. He almost stopped singing, but looks up and continues. He looks down at the note and begins to read it, still able to sing since it was engrained into his head from foalhood.

Before Mist reads the note, he quickly turns it over and it is the poster that was taken down, without a message. The priest looks over and gives a smile to the official, which he returns. After the priest looks away he turns the paper back over. The message is in the same charcoal as the messages on the posters. It reads "142 Prindel Road. Ask for Glimmer."

"Conscription. I guess you wouldn't know the difference considering how overly patriotic you are" Shadow stops rowing, and looks angrily at Silver

Silver: I volunteered to join which they accepted me. We should keep rowing so we get there on time.

Mist folds up the paper, slipping it down and into his flank pocket. It was as if Fate, or Peace, or whatever was looking over ponies was guiding him. He continued to sing the dirge, fully intending to prepare himself at home before he went to the address that was written down.

"Fine, but I won't be saving you once this house of cards comes down" He continues to row reluctantly



After an hour has passed the sermon ends with the priest reminding everypony about the cleansing army. The official quickly gets up, not saying anything to Mist and rendezvous with another pony who stands up. They start talking rapidly to each other in low whispers and exit first.

Mist watched the official go and quikly stood. He made for the door, planning on heading straight home to change and get ready for heading to the address on the paper he had been given.
