For me, the scariest things would have to be the Ash Creatures from Morrowind, especially Ascended Sleepers

The plant like enemies in Fallout New Vegas,I can't remember their names but they always blend in because the vault you can find them in is covered in vegetation,they just jump out,scream,and hit you. An NCR scientist sends you there,so if that quest happens-keep a flamer handy,you'll wanna burn the grass so you can see if it's really grass or not

I also see another R-typer...it only took two years.

Speaking about R-type...R-type Command.

You control a human fleet against the enemy, the Bydo Empire.

And then, a Pyrrhic victory ensures, taking down the Bydo Core as well as your fleet.

With realizing, you become the Bydo without realizing you are, and fight against the Humans back to Earth and even then you still don't realize why your comrades hate you for such a victory.

The endings in R-type started going sad in R-type Delta, but I feel Command is the worse so far.

In this one indie horror called cry of fear on steam there's this tall skeletally skinny zombie with nails sticking out of him and he has a chainsaw.  Basically if he gets to you he chainsaws you in half.
