Yeah this is just awful parenting. I would not let my young child play Call of Duty online, let alone the game itself. There's some awful people on the Internet, me included 

On topic: quick-saves and quick-loads. Nothing is wrong at all with the ability to save when you want. It's amazing and puts you in control when you want to start/stop a game. I've been recently playing Dishonored and I'm suffering from this tailspin which I seem to do with most PC games.

I become the most neurotic perfectionist. Since I can retry an event or situation quickly, easily, and without penalty, I try my best to get the best possible outcome. From my early days of playing Doom trying to conserve ammo and taking little to no damage to currently with Dishonored trying to go undetected/non lethal. I'm reluctant to use sleep darts because I might need that one dart later!

As a gamer myself, this has to be the most annoying thing to me in video games...



Don't get it? Well, this thing (from Final Fantasy XII) is annoying because...
1: It has a little more than 50,000,000 HP!!! And the most damage you can deal to it is 9,999!!!  It took me about 6 hours for me to slay such a beast!!! 
2: He has a quantity of insta-kill moves that's more than Ponyville's Population!!! Therefore making it a pain to avoid.
3: Taking words from Ganon (in CD-I) "You will DIE!!!"  The only good thing is that you can get out the battle, save and heal, than go back (but this can be hard, as you can't really do that easily)
