OC Moonlight Gamer

So basically my OC, as you see here is named Moonlight Gamer and this is his back story.

Ever since he was colt he didn't know what he wanted to do until he wound up wandering through the everfree forest and heard some light humming in the distance but he thought someone was just humming to past the time while they were walking but he decided to find out for himself given his curiosity like Twilight to find out what it was and his stubborn attitude like Rainbow Dash to not back down until he found out.

So he kept walking and the closer he got the louder the humming was until he saw that its wasn't a pony humming but some black kind of machinery he had never seen before in his life so his curiosity peaked and he trotted up to it carefully and examined the black metal box and he noticed it has an attachment that looked like a controller of some sorts so he decided to carry it home and examine it further.

When he got home it automatically turned on and it frightened him and so he set it next to the tv and turned the tv on and was surprised when he saw the words Xbox 360 appear on his tv so he picked up the controller and started playing the game that was already in there and played for hours thru the night and little did he know when he woke up the next day he had gotten his cutie mark to his surprise and it was in the shape of an xbox controller. Also the Moonlight part of his name obviously tells you that he always plays it at night because like everypony out there he has stuff to do during the day.

After that fateful day he decided to open up a game store in the middle of Ponyville so that the young fillies and colts could try out what he has played after remaking serveral copies of his system model and games to fit in the hooves of non-unicorn kids. So thats his long back story.

His current story is: He is a mixed breed pegasus but he isnt very strong but he likes to help out anypony in Ponyville with whatever work they need done and he is living in his own place at the edge of ponyville near the everfree in a cloud house and he loves being in the sky. Also he is the owner of the new video game shop that has opened up in Ponyville and the games are mainly for the young fillies and colts but he also sells games for grown ponies too.

Hobbies: Gaming, Freelancing, Napping, Racing with RD (when she hasn't crashed and injured herself)
He can keep up with RD for good while. Even beating her in a race once in flight school legitly (he isnt a cheater. i know you were thinking it)
Really enjoys making new friends
Hates to lose
Friends with everypony and freelances work to have something to do during most days
Watches over Ponyville from the sky
Very passive but can be aggressive when provoked
Recently acquired a keyblade bestowed upon him by Lloyd(Lusterless Nova)

He isnt entirely involved with them he just helps them with whatever they need done. other than that he is off wandering equestria until its time to do what his name implies but i understand how you feel

i know it sounds weird but i mean that he is willing to meet new ponies if he is the one who introduces himself first but the other around he is as timid as fluttershy.

Forget what i said..i changed the whole line completelycause he isnt like that when i role play so it seems totally irrelevant at this point.

I couldn't resist to rewrite some parts. It is now more pleasant to read since i shortened some sentences.

And about the size: Average pony: 3.4ft tall
!Warning. Rant incoming!
There is only one thing i don't like. You said that Moonlight won a race against Rainbow Dash. Do you have any idea how fast you have to be for that? Let me explain:
Moonlight is a gamer and his physical powers are ether average or below average since he plays games over long times. I do admit though that with enough training you can get a bit faster then normal ponies.
Rainbow Dash trained her entire live to be as fast as possible.

Don't you think it's a bit Illogical that you could beat her?

I have a speed Pegasus too that reaches 3600mph but even that isn't enough. Rainbow's max speed is 7600mph after using the Sonic-Rain-Boom

Unless you don't have a hypersonic-speed rocket on your back i really can't understand how this is possible.

Aside from that: Yay a game shop!

Somehow i knew one of these was incoming. So heres the details behind that. He went to the same flight school at Dash so he knows how fast she is and always challenged her to a race and lost every single time and behind every one of those losses he gain some speed and experience which led to his ONLy win against Dash for two reasons: 1. Dash got over confident and crashed into something and 2. after flight school he trained as much as Dash did in his spare time since he is own boss but other than that yes your right Dash would utterly smoke him regardless.

Now as for him being a gamer he only plays games at night like his  name implies which means his mornings are pretty much free thus giving him the chance to train for a while before he checks for any work to be done around town.

I honestly dont blame you for throwing in that rant though so thanks for that.

So it was in their early days. Okay that is acceptable.


...there is still one thing that bothers me. If i calculate the time you invest in training you are probably the 3rd or 4rt fastest Pegasus. Having a job and playing games during night takes a lot of time (even if both are not done every day) which leaves not enough time to practice if you ask me.

Sorry for being like this. I am one of the few here that tries to bring logic to this place.

Its okay i actually encourage it cause im sure there were faults in some reasoning in his abilities and personality and to answer that: because he stays up all night he like to nap during his days off and trains really early in the morning like laps around ponyville in a set amount of time or before somepony else wakes up cause he isnt a shut in like most gamers especially since he idolizes rainbow dash's speed even though he knows he wont get anywhere near close to it at this point.
