When sites online don't explicitly say whether you're buying one plug, or two for the price listed.. and then when your order arrives you only have half a pair and need to order the second plug and pay more shipping.. I:

Having hyper-sensitive hearing, and being in a class of 50+ students, and more than half are talking at once, loudly. WORST, SCIENCE, CLASS, EVER!

Thankfully though, this was at my old school.

I think this situation from earlier tonight at dinner time will perfectly describe the annoyance I frequently have to go through and why it gets on my nerves so much.

We cooked hot dogs for dinner.
Everyone else made their hot dogs and were already sitting in the living room.
I put my hot dogs in their buns.
Went to open the relish.
"(my name), I need you to do something!"
Ok, I do it, then return to my food.
Open the relish jar...
... get called away to do something else. I do it.
Spoon relish onto half of my first hot dog...
have to do something else. So, I do it.
Get back once again, finish putting relish on my first dog, put some on half my second dog.
Have to go do something else.
Finish putting relish on my hot dog, put onion on both hot dogs.
Have to do something else real quick.
Finally, I get to gather up my food and drink and sit in the living room with everyone else, so we can start watching something together.
Sit down, plate on a lapdesk on my lap.
"Oh, can you do one more thing?"
*Siiigh* ... Yes, of course, I do it. I finally got a break after that.

Seriously. I'm not even kidding. Partway through that ordeal, I honestly thought to myself "CAN I MAKE A DANG HOT DOG?!!!! "
I understand the fact that I have to help my mom, and I don't mind it, but it just gets on my nerves when the interruption is that constant. And people wonder why I sometimes try to be the only person awake in the house for as long as I can. *Facepalm*

And yes, they knew I was making my hot dogs. And yes, it wasn't just me and my mom in the house.

So my sister called me asking about where she could order a new computer to replace her 'broken' one.

Her: Hey brother, do you know where I can get a new computer for a decent price? Mine's broken.
Me: What broke?
Her: My computer!
Me: I mean what part of it broke?
Her: What do you mean what part? It won't work!
Me: How won't it work?
Her: It just won't come on! I've tried everything!
Me: I'll bet I know what's wrong...bring it to me.

The culprit? A fried power supply; everything else was A-okay.

You know, a lesser man might have said "Sorry, sis, your computer's history." And salvaged all of the other parts...

Learn a little something about your machine, people. Do you know how easy it is for computer repairmen to rip you off if you know nothing about computers?
