"True, but I also need to keep the skin on my bones to live," he returned with the hint that Dark was crazy to go deeper into the woods.

"Yea.......no," he stated. Right as he turned to leave, an ominous breeze sent chills up his spine. "W-what was that.....I felt someone grab my hoof..." he muttered right on the verge of sprinting out as if his life depended on it.

Gotcha. He catches the ghost with a forcefield. You aren't going anywhere.

To Dark Hoove's misfortune, it was not Akana, but only a body of wind she used as an extension, similar to a unicorn using levitation on a puppet. The body of wind captured had the apperance of a skeletal like hand that merely floated within the force field. A faint trail of air was visible due to the dropping temperature, just like when you can see your breathe in the winter. "Looks like you caught it- well i'm gone, mission accomplished!" He attempted to persuade the both of them to leave.

No this isn't the ghost, but this will lead us to it. He follows the trail of mana.

"Perfect..." he sighed. His nerves continue to grow uneasy as the two follow the trail. About 1/8th of a mile, Saiko took one step and immediately felt a drastic drop in the temperature. He pulled his hoof back like he had touched flames. "Aah! Celestia-!" he screamed out in shock. After shutting himself up, knowing that his scream would attract others. Within a matter of seconds, the crunching of leaves from behind them could be heard, growing louder with time.

Saiko began sweating from the anxiety caused by the situation. The crunching of the leaves continued to crescendo until a single sickly green light could be spotted about 20 feet away. It was too dark to distinguish what it was, but soon after the light went into visibility, a trudging sound accompanied the leaves. "Perhaps running would be a better idea..." Saiko whispered to Dark Hooves.

Show yourself! He remain ready to capture the ghost.

"Ceasefire! Ceasefire!" shouted a deep voice with a calming tone. The unknown creature approached the two on them to reveal himself. He was a golem shaped creature slightly shorter than them with a single glowing green ball of light for an eye. He steps under the moonlight to show them the details of his strange plant like body. He appeared hunch back, his body made entirely of aged wood covered in moss, and had 4 limbs. In one of his hands, he held an unlit lantern and in the other, a raggedy sack about the size of a baseball. "I apologize if I scared you two."

My apologies, we are looking for another. Do you know a ghost named Akana?

[Randam Saiko]

"That name...best you avoid her if you value your life," he sighed with disappointment. He looks behind them to notice the grass slowly becoming ice. "Behind you. That is the death you face if you enter her domain," he warned. He took out n unusually shaped rock and placed it in the lantern. Immediately, the lantern was lit and the frozen tundra ahead of them was in full view. Saiko backed up a bit and gazed upon the ice crafted trees and lifeless winter grove. He tried to speak, but was stunned by the unworldly artic forest.

Dark Hooves readies himself for the encounter.

Akana's voice echoed through the frosted plains, "Please, do come in." The golem behind them stared at the two of them and warned, "Do not listen to her. She is only luring you in. The second you set foot on that ice, you're not coming back!" Saiko turned around, hesitant to tread into Akana's domain. "Whatever you desire from her is not worth the risk. If you follow me, I can lead you out to safety," the golem offered.

Show yourself demon! He stands his ground, but remain off the ice.

[Randam Saiko]

"I'm waiting my beloveds...please do come in..." she continued tempting them to drive themselves deep into the artic ring. Saiko lifted a hoof and was near inches from making contact with the ice, but pulled back slowly. "Please, just come with me. Don't fall prey to her," the golem sighed, hoping that the two ponies would change their mind. Saiko faced the golem and asked quietly, "Who are you first off?"
"I apologize, my name is Alruio, I'm the overseer of this forest. It's my job to keep the place at peace and care for it. As for Akana, she is unfortunately a born resident of this soil and because of her birth rite, I have no power to expunge her. However, I can at least drive ponies away from her. Those who fall into her clutches never return whole."

Alruio puts his head down and shakes in apology. "I'm sorry that happened to him, but Akana won't give up her food so easily. It may be best to forget about retrieving what is lost."
