Saiko had reached a nearby inn, but before he walked through the front door, he had realized that he didn't have anything on him, including money. Disappointed, he went to the local park to find an empty bench to sleep on until morning. He tossed and turned all night, trying to find a comfortable position and fighting off insomnia. He had spontaneous moments of muscle twitching and breathed heavily at times. At day break, he still laid on the bench, still enclosed in his state of unconscious unrest. It was only 8 in the morning and the park was still empty.
83
"That's good." He let out a yawn as it was around 3 in the morning. "Ugh, I'm sorry but I am tired. I'm off to an inn till morning. Thanks again," he drowsed off on his way.
84
"I have no information on what to fix. Best you investigate and put the pieces together yourself," he advised.
85
"Well that would explain the headache I have....thanks for that," he said rubbing the side of his skull. "At least what's her face is done with us, right?"
86
"You have to make them repeat whatever happened in their original timeline. A certain event must happen in order to repair the damage. Make it so that it does happen," he informed.
87
"Yes? Do you require something, Rush?" he tilted his head as he spoke.

I started re-watching the anime Elfen Lied this weekend in preparation to finish the story by reading the manga.

I'd post the opening... but... I really can't.

Let's just say... it would be against the forum rules.  :I

It's just as screwed up as I remember it being. In a good way. I guess?  ovO
I know I'm responding to this quite late, but this is my favorite anime/manga! <3 You made me smile by mentioning it.

I can  confirm that it is a masterpiece of a show that will tear your heart out and stomp on it. But as previously stated, it is a 18+ show due to graphic content.

"I'm feeling fine, thanks for asking," he replied rubbing his head. "The heck happened?" he said exhausted.
90
The orb gave off a spectral green smoke upon shattering. At the same time, all of the other orbs began vanishing. "Congratulations my dear, you've won the game," Akana said happily. Saiko could be seen walking out from a thick cluster of trees, but his eyes were still blue. "You've won the game, so here's your friend with his memories. Now, leave my home," she said trying to hide the haste in her tone.
91
Akana was not located anywhere within Issachar's area. Rather, she was in a sort of separate room, so to speak, where she remained untouchable. The icicles pierced the ground, thus ending the trail of hoof prints. Akana still grew suspicious as Issachar's visible clone doddled about.  The time on their game ticked away to a mere 15 minutes left. "You're almost out of time. I got an idea, perhaps if you just smashed every single orb here at once, you're bound to find the correct one!" she teased as if it was a game of cat and mouse. If Issachar had done what she suggested, then hundreds of memories would be forever loss, but at least he would eventually find Saiko's. The orbs in the area began intensifying, forming patterns and particles within them in a variety of visuals.
92
Akana remained quiet as Issachar crept around the area unseen. As time passed by, she began to grow suspicious as to the second trail of hooves imprinted in her snowy plains. She ponders for a second before forging a rain of icicles about to impale the area where the second trail of hoofprints ended.
93
The orb that Issachar cracked open gave off an eerie moan. "Nah ah ah. No cheating," she teased. The orb broken was not Saikos. "You're going to have to play fair if you want to win," she playfully snickered. The magic that infested Akana's domain was tampering with Issachar's magic to prevent any handicap.
94
"Let the game begin then..." she giggled. From the snow covered ground erupted what seemed like an endless nest of blue crystal orbs. Within each contained a bright ball of light. "Inside one of these crystal balls is his memories. Your goal is to find out which one belongs to him. You have an hour. Good luck," she informed. Each orb had a different colored light as well as particle effect within it. Some were of a magenta, some cyan, some gave off a dim light while some were blindingly lit, each orb was unique in appearance and properties. "I forgot to tell you, you have to smash them open to retrieve the memories. Only your friend's memories will be restored upon release while the ones you mistakenly destroy are lost.  But keep in mind, each of these orbs belonged to someone. So smash the wrong ones and that memory is gone forever hehe," she teased.
95
"Rude, quite so rude," she spited. The frozen forest was thrown into a state of chaos. The sharp winds shrieked with ear piercing force, the trees swayed as if they were alive and furious, the air became polluted with a horde of white snow. The situation only continued to escalate for what felt like hours and then calmed after. "I understand you won't be leaving without something we both desire, so how about this? A game; one simple game. If you happen to win, you both get to leave with his memories. But should I win, I keep the memories, your friend, and on top of that, you will leave and never set foot in my home again. These conditions are non-negotiable. Well my dear, will you play?"
96
Akana was nowhere to bee seen and her presence was void, though her voice echoed through the snow globe she called her home. "Oh, now that's quite a harsh thing to say..." she teased. "You're in my house now. Now, please be a good guest and make yourself at ease," she politely invited Issachar. A trail sculpted of ice with snowflake patterns embedded within it appeared in front of Issachar. "Your friend was kind enough to cooperate. I hope you can do the same," she hoped Issachar would abide.
97
"You're playing with fire sir..." the Alruio replied in pity. He turns around and begins walking away. "Leave Akana and the forest. If you happen to enter, you are either a brave soul...or a sorry fool," he called back as he disappeared into the night. Saiko just stood frozen at Issachar, who was unfamiliar to him. He begins backing away slowly while Issachar listened to Alruio's heed. By accident, he took a pace too far and stepped on the sleet of snow and disappeared into the frost.

How most people assume I am fearless. Their reason being, "Well, you watch guts and gore and other creepy stuff." Just because I have a high tolerance for the unsettling, does not mean I am unable to feel fear. Also, if someone has a fear of something, do not think, "I can get him to get over his fear," by exposure therapy without their consent. If anyone does that, the subject cannot be held accountable for what they do next.
99
Alruio puts his head down and shakes in apology. "I'm sorry that happened to him, but Akana won't give up her food so easily. It may be best to forget about retrieving what is lost."
