It's a lot worst in Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.

If you glitch through a wall, you're stuck like that until you restart the mission/quit.

I saw this one poor team-mate I had in ScareScraper that got stuck behind a cabinet. He couldn't get out and couldn't do anything else.

Getting stuck in a glitch during a streak and the only options were to sit there stuck until someone takes you out, or typing /kill in console
