Being given the 'gift' of living forever.

Lord of Madness

Oddly I would not care the cost of living forever as the only thing I 100% fear is death  :I even thou I come from centurions/centarians... I have no clue how to spell it... I come from a family where most of us this day and age live to be over 100 years old

Zygrograxgra

Reason I fear living forever and not dying is because death shuts off all mental functions, you're just nothing, so nothing afterwards can do any harm to you.
Living forever? The mental stress of everyone else dying would get to you before the boredom. After the whole species dies off, you're still there, all alone. If you're literally unable to die, then after the world ends, you are truely forever alone. Living forever is a lonely thing.

I understand that's a common fear, but it's not something I would ever worry about. Real nonexistence wouldn't be unpleasant in any way, just nothing at all - like going to sleep (minus the dreams part) and not waking up.

But it's a part of the unknown and fearing it. Because to me, non-existence is unfathomable. Even though I do understand that that's what it's be like, it still frightens me.

Someone who can comfort me when I need it.
Most importantly...

Same here in a way. Because the second non-existance happens to you (conciseness death) technically without the ability for a brain to process time. The end of the universe instantly technically comes. with the end of everything. Or at least thats what I fear that it may be like... which seems pretty extreme.

Most people feel that way about death/non-existence, but many are too afraid to say anything.

I think of it like this
For all we know, we just died. It is impossible to prove if you are dead or not, when YOU are the one you are talking about.
One day, you just won't continue going on, having reached your limit of doing so.
It's also possible that upon finishing this I will hit that. You could die for any reason at any time, so why worry so much?

I fear being alone.  That's 99% my ADHD, hence my constant need to post in forums regardless of it's topic.

Ohhhhhh....... you mean phobophobia! ^-^ They must have lots of phobias which would give them a fear of having more scary things to fear. I also have that problem.

I fear hights, falling, death, non-existance/death, vampire bats, insects, spiders, scorpians, the dark, being alone, blood, and phobias.
And fearing phobias means you fear fear itself.
But I am not scared of ghosts for a reason nobody else would understand.
