Darkness Before Dawn (RP, not a jump-in)

Wrath was beginning to feel irritated with himself. He HATED feeling weak. he hated HIMSELF for feeling weak. He was starting to show it on the outside as well. His flames grew slightly bigger, his glow getting stronger. Embers were emanating from his nose with every exhale.

"I AM a nightmare..."

He grumbled. With a low growl, he placed his hooves flat to the ground, and heaved himself up.

"I am NOT a WEAKLING!"

He roared, standing proudly, still shaking slightly.

"I don't care if i'm burning out, crumbling to ash, I will move on and fight on till the end... let's get moving."

He said with gritted teeth, but at the end, softly uttered. He was just going to work through the pain, rather than be a burden to his allies, Nova's friends. He was not about to halt progress.

AJ nodded seriously, and motioned to the others.

"Ah agree.  Looks like we've got a block or so ta get movin' without havin' ta worry 'bout them Fears.  Ah guess we're goin' for Rainbow first, then Twi'?"

"I suppose that'll do, but rainbows are the work of Pegasi... I presume Rainbow is a Pegasus, so that has to make me wonder if we're going to have trouble reaching her," Wavelength pointed out.  "I hope she likes the ground as much as Fluttershy."

Laserbolt coughed. I can assure you, she does not.

"Oh, that's no problem!  I can just use my Pinkiecopter to fly!" grinned the confectioner, bouncing up and down as though imitating a Pinkiecopter.  "And nice job using the fourth wall, Tian!  Now you're getting the hang of it!"

AJ rolled her eyes.  "And what about th' REST of us?  Ya can't mean ya expect us all ta fit in that li'l machine o' yours."

Pinkie giggled.  "Oh, don't be silly!  I've made a bunch of modifications!  We should all be able to ride and pedal at the same time!"

You brought that here? How? Laserbolt couldn't help but laugh. Of course she did. She's Pinkie! Nice work thinking ahead, I guess. He said, still giggling a bit.

Wavelength blinked.  "Doesn't exactly solve the problem that the sky is a big place.  Down here on the ground, you search two dimensions.  Up there... she could be anywhere in three."  He cast a glance at Pinkie Pie.  "I just hope she doesn't have access to some fourth dimension I haven't heard about..."

Wrath nodded, trying not to lose balance.

"Yes, it would be rather unfortunate to have to look in a entirely NEW place, with little to NO knowledge about the place. I, and Nova wish to not have to go back from where we originate... it's rather easy to get lost there."

Wavelength raised an eyebrow, not having meant what he said literally.  "Originate what, now?"

Wrath turned, almost falling.

"If you are thinking from this stuff outside, allow me  to clarify. No, we don't come from those shadows outside. Where we come from is... not important right now. If we happen to enter said lands, I will explain further."

Is this guy creeping anyone else out? No? All right, I'll try and chill out. Say, do you suppose Slendermane is out there? You know, from what I've heard he's actually a protector of colts and fillies, and seeing as how I've only just gotten out of school, he may be helpful! Obvious wishful thinking, pal. Shut up, you. Laserbolt shook his head, trying to stay on track.

Wavelength looked at everypony around him and sighed.  "What an odd party this is...  I keep coming back to try making sense of everything, but this time I really mean it.  I'm done thinking for tonight."  He trotted over to Pinkie Pie and just waited, staring at her through his hazy blue visor.  He didn't bother saying that he was waiting for instructions; at this point, he was convinced that the world and everypony in it already knew what he was going to say before he said it.  Time to theoretically sit down and see where the river took him.

'Shy looked from one pony to the other, shrinking back a bit while her daughter rolled her eyes.

"So, are we gonna actually get moving anytime soon?  We're going for Dash, right?  In Pinkie's whatever-copter thing?"

I'm waiting to see where she's keeping the dang thing.

Pinkie grinned, reached into...

Tian saw her just walking off the set and wheeling in the contraption.  There were wires coming off it attached to the ceiling of the film studio, since it really shouldn't work in Equestria, but, well, plot convenience.

...nowhere... and pulled out an unthinkably large vehicle with bunches of rotors on the roof and pedals attached to seats inside.

AJ shook her head.  "Laserbolt, Ah jes' suggest y'all stop thinkin' about it, like Wavelength.  Pinkie's jes' gonna be Pinkie, ain't no changin' that."

The hyperactive confection maker bounced over to Wavelength with a silly smile on her face, patting him on the head.  "There, there, Wavelength!  See?  It's much more fun if you just accept it rather than trying to understand!  Although if you DO want to understand... I can do that too!  But you might not like thinking like me and talking like me," she giggled, winking at Tian.

Wavelength shrugged and took a seat toward the contraption's center of gravity.  He sat there daydreaming about home while waiting for everypony else.

Wrath snorted, releasing a bit of smoke, took a few wobbly steps over to machine and stood there, waiting.

Doesn't mean I can't figure out how she does it. Besides, it's not like I'm gonna devote my life to it.

He trotted over to the machine and sat in one of the seats, awaiting take off.

The Flutters got onboard, and AJ sighed, pulled her Stetson down tightly so that it wouldn't fly off, and got on her seat before looking at Tian.

"Hope you an' Pinkie know what y'all are doin', Tian."

Pinkie giggled, bouncing up and down.  "Oh, don't worry, she's just AFK.  I think she's got schoolwork or something.  She'll be back and posting soon!"

AJ opened her mouth, closed it, and decided it wasn't worth the mental trauma to ask for an explanation.  It's only been what, less than a minute?  Schoolwork?  What?

"Yep, it's like Pinkie said. Sorry for the long wait" - Tian said, stretching her muscles - "Never thought this would affect me physically... Maybe it's still a psychological effect on my body, though..." - She started to talk to herself, but then shook her head. - "Well, but it isn't important right now. Let's keep going!" - She got onboard too. Looking up, she saw the wires attached to the vehicle and the ceiling and smiled after noticing she isn't even thinking it's weird anymore. The more time passes outside and she stays awake all the time, thinking and talking with Pinkie Pie in the backstage, more she understand about everything and get used to it.
