We could try BYOND... Basically a service like steam, but all the games are free and you have to use your internet browser to look at games... There is a ton, and you can even create your own (if you know know how to code, and use pixal art)

The only drawback is that it's all in 2d, but it works in the end... I'm just surprised no one made a pony game for that service though =/

Even though there aren't any pony games on BYOND, there are a ton of games to choose from =D

I must say that Planet Calypso looks absolutely astounding... Though I'm not sure if it'll put too much strain and stress on the PC when playing like Second Life does.

^ Those are all "social" games. If you don't really mind action and stuff there are many other games out there for the browser but sometimes the game itself overwrites one's ability to just hang out with each other.

I, personally, have been thinking about playing Pangya. It seems relaxed enough to be social as well.

I don't mind Global Agenda, it lags a bit on my laptop but it's nothing too severe (for me at least). I may get back into it if a few others are interested.

Try thinking of something that EVERYONE can enjoy, and that we can use more for social means than action. Last time I checked Global Agenda...it's the opposite.

umm guys i dont meen to interject but woulnt it be a good idea to estabish boundrys for your mmo such as
game type: do you want to fight or purly socilise
community: do you just wish to meet or will it require a guild systm
Game form: browser based or install

those are just some examples but again im just making a sugestion to make desisions easyer

1) Mixture, but not too much action as it could destroy the social aspect.
2) Just meeting is fine for me but a guild would help us keep list. Though the leader and members would have to earn tons of G to level it up.
3) Either. But not too big an install or too stressful on the PC. Also no Unity games.

This is why I was thinking of Pangya. It's just fantasy anime golfing.

Okay well I just tried it and... Pangya really is the CUTEST GAME I HAVE EVER PLAYED. Even cuter than Eden Eternal... And though you're competing against other people, you don't form any hate against them. It's quite friendly and so are the players. Lastly, it took me less than 30 minutes to go through EVERY process of getting it on my old used laptop - from download to patching and startup - and it doesn't lag or stress my computer AT ALL.

In fact, this is the least stressful game I have ever played...for myself and my computer...

So yeah >.>; Just food for thought...
