Castor nodded.  He was clearly on edge.  O-okay...Cestrum, can we talk?

Cestrum looked at her friend with a worried expression.
"Of course, Castor. Fly with me, so that we may speak somewhere more private." she replied.
Trotting away a few paces, she took flight into the Everfree. She landed silently in the branches of a large tree, taking a seat and waiting for Castor to follow.

Castor landed nearby, scared.  Eventually, he spoke up.  Cestrum...I'm scared.  I've been setting up all these traps and stuff...but...I don't wanna fight...

Cestrum swallowed the lump in her throat, it broke her heart to see her friend this way.
As she spoke, her voice was cautiously hopeful. "You need not fear Castor. Our plan no longer calls for battle against the Pony-folk. Luna Lily had in fact been saved by a small group of them, this proves that not all of them harbor baseless hatred towards us. All of our energy shall be used to convince these Ponies of our ways, to prove that our species can coexist peacefully. Surely there are other Pony-folk here capable of the same compassion as well?"
She did her best to convince her friend that it was possible. In truth, it was about all they had left. . .

I...I hope so...I've been kicking and breaking rocks with my hooves...I hope I don't have to kick ponies.  Castor sat quietly, not sure what else to say.  He knew there was more, but he couldn't phrase it.

She teleports to a spot inside the cave.

Thinking How rude of them to treat me as some underling, they will all respect me when I get a position of power.

Starlight sighed and turned, trotting into the cave. "I'm still not sure staying here is a good idea..."
