Resolved Issues / Question about notifications?

So I keep getting notifications from this thread that I haven't posted in in a year now and I really don't want it in my new replies anymore. I've turned off the option to automatically subscribe to threads I post in, it says I'm not subscribed to any, but I'm still getting them. I can't find a button on the actually thread to click that will unsubscribe me. I don't know if this is a bug or I'm just not doing the right thingy, but does anyone know how I can? It's pretty annoying.

I'm not sure what forum thing this *should* be in, forgive me. 
But I was wanting to ask, is there a way to stop following a thread? I've been inactive on this one thread for a while, but I'm getting notifications from it still. There a way to stop that?

Yeah I thought the first thread was super fun, so I'ma try to revive it.
Lemme start by asking, how do you think the royal guard functions? It's canonical that Luna and Celestia have different military, Luna's being bat ponies and Celestia's being normal ponies.
I personally believe it's a holdover from the days of Luna's rebellion. Luna managed to win some followers to her cause, by convincing them that Celestia is feeding the population lies and propoganda.(Yes, they were the New Lunar Republic and Celestia's faction was the Solar Empire, though these terms have since been rendered obsolete by all but the most close-minded of ponies.)
She used her corrupted magic to turn them into a new race, the bat ponies, in order to have an advantage during the night time, when Celestia and her followers are more vulnerable. Even though this gave her a similar handicap, they were still better off, as now their leader could organize them during the same time as they were awake, whereas before she would be asleep during the day while they, being normal ponies, would be asleep during the night. The spell she cast to create the bat ponies was permanent however, and led to a new race being born. The bat ponies nowadays have no ill will towards Celestia at all; after all, it's been a thousand years of peace while Celestia was ruling. Though they still serve the Princess of the Night due to them being able to protect her during the night time, as their original role was meant to be.
Thoughts? Also, feel free to ask other questions! And remember: "Science is the art of explaining magic."

The bold part is now technically canonical. Remember when Twilight was battling Lord Tirek DBZ-style? When she got super p*ssed the rocks and stuff around her started floating upwards, defying gravity. This might just be alicorn magic, but I'm siding with the idea that this was brought on by her new pegasus magic.

Well at least, the only one that's well developed. >w<; Her name's Night Wish and she's Luna's best friend / personal guard. She goes out into town to run errands and stuff for the Princess and junk. :u She's blind as a bat (no pun intended) but she can use sonar and she has really good hearing. A lot of ponies are scared of her because she looks kinda scary but she's actually really nice and actually kind of shy. ;u;

Occupation: Personal bodyguard of Princess Luna
Skills: Extremely sensitive hearing, deadly in combat, can use sonar
Cutie mark: Shield with the New Lunar Republic insignia superimposed on it
Bio: Born blind in both eyes, she was the daughter of a prestigious family that has been serving the Princess for generations. Ever since she was a little filly she was trained to be a royal night guard. She didn't really enjoy it, but her parents weren't very strict either. They let her decide her own life. She didn't know where to go in her life, though, and so kept jumping from one random interest to another. She never made friends in school for that specific reason, and got in a lot of fights -- which, predictably, she would win. One day, however, the princess herself visited, and took an immediate interest in Night Wish -- even though she didn't particularly like politics or fighting, and was in fact blind, she still knew how to put up a fight. This led the princess to visit her more often, and eventually they formed a friendship. Through this, Night Wish became interested in Luna, not as princess, but as a friend. So now, she's not defending Luna the princess of the Night, but Luna her best and only friend. Luna acts as an anchor for Night Wish, which really helped her calm down during her rebellious years as a teenager.
Personality: Nice, calm, generally nice person to hang around. Being a batpony with creepy eyes has made a lot of ponies think she's some kind of delinquent, but she couldn't be further from it. Smart and open-minded, but kind of shy when approached by a stranger. She's a bit self-conscious of her disability. When asked about her past, she generally sidesteps the question and steers it somewhere else.
Favorite quote: "There is something haunting in the light of the moon. It has all the dispassionateness of a disembodied soul, and some of its inconceivable mystery."
Favorite pastime: Night flying and "listening to the stars". Also loves to whittle the time away with Luna. Tried learning to play a lap steel once, but Luna put a stop to that. Ponies don't play lap steels, that's just silly.
