Alicorn Twilight is terrible. It doesn't matter why she turned it's still bad to make a character officially stronger than everyone else.Spoiler: show
You make it sound like someone godmodded her into an alicorn and just made her OP. That is not what happened though.
She didn't gain any more strength from becoming an alicorn, she already had strength and through the magic of friendship she was able to make it happen. Apart from her getting wings and acknowledgement through her official title, she hasn't changed.
Twilight has come such a long way and has proven herself so many times. She's always been OP, in a good way.
Now, I bow before you, Princess Sparkle, may you lead S4 to many good episodes. If so, I shall declare you best pony.Spoiler: showSo being able to do all three abilities that normal people only have one of , and becoming a princess is somehow a "Good OP"? No I don't find it in anyway good character design.
Also me , and Jenzy skyped about it , and i'l just call myself "A brony who doesn't watch the new episodes" if they don't change it.
Quote from: DawnstarI've seen a theory pointed out suggesting that Alicorns may be artificially possible due to a spell similar to the one that gave rarity wings, except only the highest level magic users can use it (a scaled difficulty to cast similar to how it was hard for twilight to cast the butterfly wing spell, but even higher up).

Well, if popular shows such as Dragon Ball Z hit 9 seasons,
then I'm certain that My Little Pony should go for at least
a couple more seasons.

An episode on death and dealing with it, whether a pet or a random animal or even a character. It's a difficult topic, but I think children can not only handle it, they should be exposed to it in order to help them cope with it early on.
Despite how sad an episode like that would be, I have to agree with you on that one. Something like that would not only teach children to deal with death, but it would also add an interesting plot twist to the show.
It may seem like a good topic, but it wouldn't seem right once on air though. Look at the shows Tara Strong did, like Powerpuff Girls or The Kids Next Door, at the most they we're either captured or in huge trouble, but no death. Something like death shouldn't really be introduced to a show with a audience with the age of 5+. If they wanted to introduce death to a cartoon and make it feel normal for any show, they should of done that a long time ago.
Well, there are Disney cartoon movies that have death in them, though.
The Lion King - Simba's dad dies, and it's implied that Scar gets eaten alive by hyenas
Tarzan - The whole plot is due to Tarzan being orphaned by a jaguar. At the end, you see the silhouette of the bad guy having been hanged by vines
The Princess and the Frog -Spoiler: showSometime during the timeskip from the main character's childhood and "present day", her father died. The bad guy gets dragged into hell, and the main characters' lightning bug friend got stomped on by the bad guy and dies. They even have a funeral for the bug
Mulan - Chang discovers that his father died on a battlefield, and I'm pretty sure the villain dies at the end
Yeah, but these are movies. If someone ever died on the show, we'd have to live on with it for seasons to come.
P.S. I did cry when the father died in The Lion King this movie is one of my favorites.
would it be a bad thing for the show if they had an orphan story?
Like Land Before Time with Littlefoot's mother, episode 1

Pretty sure that spell is canon. Didn't Twilight use it in episode 16?
but cloud-walking is canonical enough.
