I'm not sure, as I'm not a bard. Speaking in rhymes all day may be hard.
Sometimes, I'm good at it, but sometimes I...... uh.... have.. defeat to admit.
Coming up with rhymes all day on the spot? I don't know, sir, I might not.

I'm not that kind of pony, don't want to be like a phony
My rhyming skills lack, I'll get a lot of flak
My mind will scream, I'll be haunted in my dream
My eyes will burn, my stomach shall churn
I hate needing to make rhymes, like my mother with wind chimes
So I'd rather not participate, sorry if this sounds filled with hate.

I'll take this rhyming challenge you see, but the skill to rhyme I lack it seems. I'll try to rhyme the day away but how long I can, I cannot say.

Very well then, I shall start
you will see this is my art.
From masters I have learned
and from losses I have yearned.

Rhyming is not just for ponies.
Many creatures are my cronies.
Hyenas and lions have taught me well
And to you I shall tell
how these creatures taught me so
in a time long, long ago.

The please, I beg you, tell your tale!
Succeed where other ponies fail.
If you think that your story's best,
Then put your story to the test!

Yet creatures of the jungle dark
Are often shadow more than spark.
Though all their whispers fill the air,
I find but little in their lair.

And creatures of the grassy fields?
Though spots they wear and claws they wield,
Do rhymes indeed the shadows fill
When sunset falls and all is still?

Though they seem deft and dumb
lions can be quite fun!
Make them angry more or less
and you will soon have a rhyming mess.

Hyenas are very cunning things,
their knowledge and skills spread like wings.
When one thinks all is said and done,
hyenas will rhyme after the set of the sun.

But enough of the creatures of Africa
It is time to talk of Equestria
Enchanted equines live in this place
a place where their is plenty and space.

Equestria, Equestria!
Of all intelligentsia,
Her ponies proud from Canterlot,
Her riches famed by kingdoms sought!

The land of mystic unicorn,
Of pegasus in armor shorn,
Of proud and honest Earth Ponies,
With bees in fields and birds in trees!

What marvels grace its verdant hills,
As bunny hops and sparrow trills!
The valleys ring with bubbling streams
Which flow from waterfalls like dreams!

Equestria, Equestria!
The smell of a camellia
Can never rival the muffins sweet
Which flow like rain in every street!

From shining sea to shining sea,
As Lords of Madness drink their tea,
As Swedish Rainbows vast domains
Of artists fill with sweet refrains,

That land of magic, land of peace,
So great that wonders never cease,
The land of Princesses above,
And ponies kind, embraced in love!

I must commend you for that one
but of the nights you mentioned none.
The days may be sunny and great
but for the best, you must wait.

Wait until midnight, that is when
the glowing hounds emerge from their den.
With their masks of bone and skull,
they make the day look very dull.

The owls of the forest hoot away
while another place receives the day.
Majestic cats come to far and wide
to explore what most ponies try to hide.

Who is to need a silly sun
when the bright moon gets it done?
Look to the sun and it will blind
even the ones with a mind.

Look to the moon and its gaze
will comfort your eyes and amaze.
The stars aid the moon in its quest
to light ponies' ways, east or west

With a Princess of the Night,
who needs a tyrant of the light?
Princess Celestia we do fear
but Luna will make her dissapear.

It is returning through the Dark
Doctor, you have met your mark,

Your song is ending so don't cry
when you here him knock four times

your going to regenerate
some new man saunters away

no time for games, tonight we fight
for the fate of all mankind

Time is ending faster
Doctor its time to face the Master

My, my, it seems we have a newbie
so if I were him, I would flee.
Or go ahead and stay a while
and learn from the masters who go for miles.

We both have the fire,
that has the power
to end life
but what I do with that flame is what separates our types

Shadow, Night may beauty bring,
But swallows fair will only sing
In daylight fair, in sunshine warm,
Where bees the flower-fields do swarm.

And Doctor, you may Master meet,
But whether future holds defeat
Or triumph over enemies,
There's time to share one's melodies!

We here have much of which to speak!
In rhyme, perfection we may seek.
The solemn, flowing poetry
With which to render hopefully

The mighty words of leaders past,
Of hamlet small and kingdom vast,
The gentle words of mother dear,
Of ancient sage and wizened seer.

How long ago was it?
That I last tried it.
Rhyming is no easy business,
So please let this have acceptableness.

I tried making a rhyme and I failed. I may be able to do it in Spanish with "ease", but in English? Even though I'm fluent, I'm having a hard time coming up with rhymes. Here's what i have so far:

"Magnificent rhymes, I'm loving your lines."

That took me what, three minutes to write? And then I can't come up with something to follow that up.   :l

Why are you two making rhymes
Of just two verses? In these times
Is it too hard to try to write
Four verses each, today, tonight?

My dear Magus, that is correct
for a good rhyme has no defects.
Four verses is the minimum
but sometimes they go on for meleniums.

For a good rhyme must stay on track,
Random lines will make you slack.
Discuss what others talk about
and you will fit in without a doubt.

Good ShadowHeart, it's good to see
That you came back, and I agree.
And yet it seems that others here
Prefer to stay back in the rear.

For when it comes to rhyming games,
It's not just one pony who blames
The verses long and words complex
For headaches theirs and all that mess.

It's almost post fifty
This is very quite thrifty.
This rhyme makes little sense
I feel rather dense.

Don't worry, Zygrograxgra,
Though wrote you only one stanza,
You do quite well in rhyming lines!
I quite admire your designs.

We don't have to go to jobs , or schools , and we get to stay inside!

Yes that is quite a benefit,

Might be too much for some of us,
Especially those who take the bus.

And any public vehicle
Or mode of transport meaningful
Can be completely overrun
By zombies gross when all is done.

Yet still I trust in Canterlot,
In Princesses who dragons fought.
They're sure to win this dreadful fight,
They're Goddesses of Day and Night!

Still stuck in fantasy I see.
The dictator who makes you squee.
The tyrant rules with an iron hoof
but the night she no longer controls you goof.

Through teamwork and serenity
is the only way to make Equestria free.
The two sisters must work side by side
or eachother they will no longer confide.

If it comes to the worse,
the Solar Empire will curse.
The NLR will save us all
until Celestia comes to fall.

But let us pray this does not occur,
for a broken Equestria will stir
more enemies to rise.

What we had wasn't even a feud.
It was a civilized debate with no offense intended.
However my words do seem kind of bended.

Just because two opinions differ.
Doesn't mean that the two to eachother are bitter.
Sorry that sentence may not be bright.
I switched the words places to make it rhyme right.

They took place in a jungle temple,

The lava was quite slow
In terms of its flow
I've never seen such like that,
I thought the bear needed a pat.

Of course I would!  But in that case,
As Durpy came into the race,
I did not wish to overdo
A poem straight, a poem true.

You see, even in poem-games,
I would not wish to raise up flames.
To outdo Durpy is just rude,
So I would not myself be crude.

Instead I write in simple prose
To match the posts which here arose.
If asked I can indeed decide
To write long poems modified.

Today I wrote some rhymes at school
Some of my friends laughed, they thought I was uncool
But now I want to ask if any of you have a pet
My friend's pet is the only one I've ever met

Be it a cat or a dog
A mouse or a frog
Bees who make honey
Or a little, fluffy bunny

I've always longed to have a cat
One that wouldn't always sit on the mat
Or even a small but slithering snake
Who would be at my side as soon as I'm awake

However I can never have a dog
If I ever saw a big dog, I'd run into a log!
I don't really want a mouse
Because it'd run all over the house

I myself do have a pet,
Though she does not quite like the vet;
A Shetland Sheepdog brown and white,
She's shy and sweet and does not bite.

I once had fish and hamsters small,
But their short lifespans, short and all
Caused me to think it not quite fit
To keep such pets, in cage to sit.

Oh my days, such great rhymes!
You all must practice all the time!
But to create a brilliant stanza,
one must take heed of this bonanza,
and bathe regularily I must tell,
to avoid such a nausous, overpowering smell!
I, Domino, am fond of Zecora zebra,
but now to flee from this endeavour!
And away from ponies and their cosy homes,
where I've snacked on apples and [glow=black,2,300]chewed on bones...[/glow]

I greet you, Domino Effect,
With quiet honor and respect.

Of course, for threads in LoE,

"Thread" rhymes with "head", and "yeast with "beast."
Though I know not how rhymes might be

I hear it normal schools surpass,
For subjects of all sorts they teach,
With focus on the students each.

Without the need for classrooms cold,
They only need good earth to mold.
From science, math and history
To arts and crafts and botany.

There is no such thing,
as a friendly conversation,              (stairs  :3)
even on a thread of rhyming,
there will always be frustration.

You ponies asked for a war,
and a war I have gave,
but if you wish not to fight,

Before I join what might become
A battle, fearful, sad and glum.

Yet as a thought before all that,
I'd like of quality to chat.
For I do notice certain things
Which might affect what this thread brings.

If I might say without offense,
(And if you're hurt I'd recompense),
For one, some rhymes you make do seem
The rules of grammar to blaspheme.

But artists write as artists do,
Whatever eldtritch lines ensue,
So I suppose the grammar part
Might simply come out from the art.

I try, no matter what the fun,
To rhyme each line with the next one.

Our rhyming here our skills condense
To better write with speed and wit

i sit on here

when i walk away

i turn around so quick
its giving me a kick
i steal it up
as i see a big yup
the red figure
its getting bigger
i want it its mine
all i can do is rhyme
i send out my words
as i was flying as a bird
send me the crown
i look all around
i find a shadow with a shimmer
ohh no time for dinner
i take it so fast
to were i left the past
i am in control
i charge at it like a bull
from deep down in my soul
and hit the green glow
as i give a short blow

However, why can't others see
What we think or how we agree?

We conjure up ideas and such
To share them and appeal as much,
But others may want to shoot down
These same ideas and steal the crown.

Agression, oppression, tyranny too
Is caused by views that can askew
Their open-mindedness, you see.
It causes some to run and flee.

Unfortunately, they can't change their mind,
Their poor quality, or their way unkind.
Set the example for them, bronies must
To turn that idealism into dust.

We try to love and tolerate,
And not give in to fear and hate,
But even bronies can at times
Be mean both in and out of rhymes.

But we will try to do our best
To never raise above the rest
One or another, for we all
Are ponies who can also fall.

None of us are perfect, no.
Wherever each of us might go,
There will be times when we will fail,
So let us not at others wail!

Life is not easy, and that is a true fact.

Indeed, it's sad to see that some
Would seek perfection, and be glum
If they can't reach the goal they seek.
For them, such "failure" seems quite bleak.

Yet if we all accepted that

Can better live in harmony.

these rhymes are hard for me to think, at least I'm not writing them in ink

I'll try to stay and not desappear.
But I don't know how to rhyme at all,
Let's see how long I last before I fall.
My language is not this one,
To mistakes, I am prone.
But I'll try my best,
Thinking hard without rest.

Take a look at all of these rhymes here,
All of them sound so very clear.
Quite a wonderful, fantastic sight.
We're thinking them through with our might.
It seems the talking keeps going.
Like the water in the sea, keep it flowing!

The water is always flowing,
never ceasing, never slowing,
life for ponies, it signafies,
for life without water means true demise.

Now, don't take this very hard,
I didn't mean for my words to shard,
About water, I don't know,
Anyways, the winds are blowing,
The cold is coming,
Hopefully,
So Jenzy will be quite happy.

for that shortcoming I am quite sad.
'Twas a riddle of Lord of the Rings that came to my head,
and the answer was quite indeed an egg.

I'll give something more original, that I myself have made!

To me, it seems the answer is a missile, a bomb
A mass destruction weapon to bring people to the tomb.
But, if so, there is something bothering me:

However your answer is not correct, but very close.
Love may bring pain and joy but is not feared by most.
It is highly sought after, often more than gold.
However the answer I seek can leave one's heart cold.

I'll say death causes pain and remorse.
It's also feared by most, of course.
Too much of it, we grow sore,
But not enough, we suffer more.

Is death what's feared, even by bold?
Which causes pain and leaves us cold?

And up to us if bad or good?

Sophia had a sis. Her name was Denise.

Denise bought a dog for her sister to go with through the fog.

She wandered with her new friend, knowing it would follow her to the end.

Rhyming with a topic? I do not quite understand
Do we set a topic then converse with rhyming at hand?
Through my mind it sounds like mere conversation,
Though I guess it could be practice of one's presentation,
Very well then, I shall conform and play this game,
Though a chosen topic would we need to name.
Unless there is a criteria of which to choose from,
I shall choose from my head, hopefully it won't be dumb.

Since this is a mlp community, one of I'm quite fond,
Lets discuss our thoughts that season 4 has spawned.
Having Zecora returning in the premiere i find it fitting.
Positive feelings towards this season I have no problem admitting.

I would glady talk about that topic,
Unfortunately, I have yet to watch it.
All I know is Discord's in it,
Knitting up something exotic.

I'll watch it later.
Together with my sister.
She'll come home at 4, say,
and we'll watch it today.

Alone, I may be.
Pathways covered in darkness, indeed.

The time to join this forum, yip-pee!

No power, no corruption. Time was swell.
Bunch of friends, bunch of things. It was going well.

Then came somepony which few know of today.
Raindrop, I believe, is the one who was at bay.

Equestria Online was no more.
And I was hopeless...

...but before that came fun I couldn't imagine.

The first RP involved a mod with his hammer
and very few, one, can I remember so far back.
I could only remember so much. It was worth it.
Ninja'ing her...if she does recall it...it aches.

Remembering so little of some of my greatest memories.
From Lyra's transformation to Lary, and the much more.
Oh, I miss him; he was fun...
...but time has come, and how pitiful it was. I was bored.

There isn't the spark that there was yesterday.
The game didn't seem so fun to play
Yet I stay.
Yet I pray.

And I hope today that something will happen
And I hope today that the best shall happen.

Those who hold your ground, stay. Those who leave the bunkers, leave.

This community has brought the best of me.
And how it changed; it's a shame to see.

Yet those who stay I'm proud of you.
The community won't be the same without the you few.

And I say...

while some sleep the day away

She turns young ponies into her prey


Other's flesh and bone;
She calls them her own
Taking away what they were given
She makes it her own way of livin'
And while it is a cruel thing to do
She will continue with her job until it is through
She turns these sources into something new
A dark spell to cast
Her memory will forever last

She does not stand alone
this mare of the forest
Alongside her stands a filly, one that was the poorest
Until she met a mare
Who gave most a scare
She took her to stay
Deep, hidden away
Into the Everfree.

((And then I couldn't get "leave be" to rhyme well with "Everfree" so I gave up lol ))

Well wel, looks like some people are having fun,
Hopefully none of you have wrote enough to be done.
For you all have done very well, admirably I admit,
Hopefully I'll read more and enjoy such wit.

Magus my chum, i see you have been thinking hard,
but you can't solve everything with nukes like some exodia card,
Perhaps I should give out a hint, would it be too soon?
Maybe we should wait for others to answer, hopefully before a blue moon.

The mystery of peace, I have solved!
There are little things involved.

One is wisdom, one is knowledge.
The last is working 'till you drop off the edge.

I think that's what peace is.
Now I can go away at ease!
