For me, the most annoying thing is gaming (besides games that still think lives are a good idea outside of an arcade) are roguelikes. It really annoys me how hours of playing will mean completely nothing is you screw up or how some runs seem to give me nothing to work with. A nostalgia thread, huh? I guess while I could talk about Doom (my first video game), there's not a whole lot I can say about it that hasn't already been said. So I'll talk about another game I used to play a lot of, Constructor. If you don't know what it s, basically you (and 1-3 AI players, possibly a friend if you got the network feature to work) had to build houses and stuff while keeping both your tenants and the council happy. Sometimes this means sending an undesirable over to ruin someone's day (blow up houses, flood entire block, etc.). Sure this game got a little frustrating sometimes with the fence attacks (this is how you take over buildings) and the better undesirables actions were locked by difficulty (harder levels give more actions), but I still liked to play it (and still do sometimes).

Oh yeah! Another open server weekend! Sure it's not quite a proper alpha yet, but it's definitely something.

So where exactly is the Game Download going to be posted?  I really want to check it out and I don't want to miss the link.

It should show up in the downloads page on the main website (mane website?) when the time comes.

While I haven't played it properly since before the graphics upgrades, the last time I played it at all was during that free weekend of membership. Basically, it show me just what they keep away from free players. Did it encourage me to play more and pay? No, it certainly did not. In fact, I think this was the reason I stopped playing, I was sick of all the good stuff being for members only.

To be fair on this new game they call Runescape (which isn't a thing like the game I remember), I've played a lot of MMO's, and none that I've seen so far have as much free content as Runescape, especially in terms of game hours. The only one that comes close is LOTRO.

I don't know, when I played FlyFF, that had quite a lot of free content. All of the paid content was just items you got with with paid currency you can live without. Plus as the name suggests, you could fly in that game (probably the reason I got the hang of the flying controls in this game's pre-alpha so quickly).

The extremely outdated system that is the lives system. As a guy who sucks a video games, that game over screen is annoying. This is why I like it when games have a similar approach to it as Rayman Origins.

This is a public test. You may record, screenshot, discuss, etc anything that is publicly available in the game. In fact, I encourage it. That means more people will know about the game!
