Lauren Faust confirmed that Ditzy Doo was never tied to Derpy, and even she uses Derpy as her name. I know we all think different things, and someone might get mad at me for my outburst, but she is canonically Derpy, not Ditzy.

It bothers me when people insist that she is Ditzy Doo, especially since Derpy was right there in Ponyville in Winter Wrap Up when someone said that Ditzy went north to get the birds.
And if they think Ditzy would be a less offensive name than Derpy, they're wrong and probably aren't aware of what "ditzy" means, especially when talking about a blonde (like Derpy). :s
