What Ponies From Older Generations do you Want to See in Friendship is Magic?

Hasbro is taking too long to release Season 3 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, so I decided to take a blast to the past and have a look at their older TV shows. G1 & 3.5 to be exact. And I must say that I am not very disappointed at all with the animations back then. Except Newborn Cuties. that will NEVER be acceptable. And yes, besides Newborn Cuties, I actually liked G3.5 (despite it being so small). The older generations aren't as bad as most bronies make it seem like it is. I especially liked G1, despite only watching a few episodes so far.

That being said, I wanted to ask you all, what ponies from past generations would you like to see in Friendship is Magic? Personally, I'd choose Galaxy!

That's just how Galaxy's eyes look. Almost all the other ponies have normal eyes. I think Galaxy is suppose to be the Twilight Sparkle of generation 1.

I was always under the assumption that twilight sparkle was based off of the G1 Twilight.     Though if i had to see any of them i would probably want to see Firefly the g1 pony that was the base for rainbow dash.

G1 Twilight is Twilight Sparkles mother. Or at least her mother shown in Cutie Mark Chronicles looks a lot like  her.

Yeah, Twilight Sparkle was based on G1 Twilight, not Galaxy.

I dunno what one I'd want to see, since I don't really know much about the previous generations. Firefly, I guess.

That's because Faust couldn't use G1 Twilight for Twilight Sparkle, since Hasbro doesn't have copyright over Twilight anymore. The producers decided to make a witty reference by making Twilight Sparkle's mom look similar to G1 Twilight.

I've noticed. G1 has so many ponies, it just makes your head spin.  But I'm pretty sure that out of all those characters, there's got to be somepony you like.

I should try rewatching G1 in that case; see if that's true.  I liked what little I've seen of the Smooze and Tirek episodes, in any case.
