Go Down

Dyanitokala

The unicorn blushed slightly, "Really?" She asked then smiled at Bently fondly. "I do really love making toys." She sank down a little so she was laying down and nosed at her scarf. She was thinking. "You know," She started then paused. She wanted to really think about her question. If she was really up for it. She decided that it might be a good way to make some friends.

"What if I made you something?" She offered, "Anything you like. I mean it might take some time but... if you want a toy? Or a blanket? Or maybe a scarf? I could make it for you." Her horn lit up a light brown and she pulled a bit of yarn yellow yarn out and a bright green hook. "I have all sorts of colors. You could just pick whatever you like. I wouldn't mind."

(I didn't say you had to, Grizzly. You've done nothing wrong.  :s

I just wish the people who only write like one sentence would write more.)

"Oh. Well, what books do you want?" Spike asked.

-

"Oh... uh... heh..." Twilight mumbled, unsure of how to handle Blue's sudden breakdown. She settled for an awkward pat on the unicorn's back, attempting to comfort her. "It's okay, Blue Star. Don't worry."

The princess straightened up, regaining her confident composure. "You know, a lot of ponies would do the same thing in your position. And while the dark arts are looked down upon, they aren't taboo... that doesn't mean you should continue practicing them though."

-

"Yeah," Zakona nodded. "It really is good." She then considered Brown's offer. "Sure, uh... could you make me a striped scarf?" It may have been a little redundant, but she had more than enough toys and she didn't need a blanket. Zakona looked at the assortment of yarn the mare had brought out. "Blue and black."

(This is basically the scarf she wants. http://www.toofastonline.com/images/Product/large/17377.jpg)

She wondered how long it would take. Perhaps it would be assembled in record time, given that it seemed to be Brown's talent? Or maybe it would take awhile. The capony had no clue.

Grizzly

The little blue mare took a few breaths. "Well, now you know. And like i said, it has nothing to do with cutie marks. And it didn't even work." she whispered and sighed

(Sorry for the inactivity, guys! I'm back now tho.

-A minor complaint, but could we please move the RP along faster? I'd hoped we'd be out of Twilight's library by now.
-Checkmate, Spike was talking to your character.)

"Be as it may, the effects of the curse sound like a dead ringer for what happened to you," Twilight replied. She recalled various hexes, curses, and spells, hoping to find something similar to what Blue Star had described. She found no answers, however, except for one.

"Well... desperate times call for desperate measures..." the princess muttered, turning to address the tiny unicorn before her. "Blue Star, I was thinking. I could try to perform the spell that returned my friends' cutiemarks to normal on you. It was successful, and I even landed a position as an alicorn with it," she said hurriedly, hoping to avoid straining Blue's nerves even further, "so I have reason to believe that it'll work."

"But if it doesn't, then there's one other thing we could try."

Checkmate

((Sorry, I thought the thread was dead.  :'( ))

Checkmate spoke up, his voice an emotionless snap.  Anything on cutie marks.

Grizzly

The tiny blue mare nodded, if magic got her into this than magic can get her out of it. She closed her eyes and tried to suppress her shy and timid nature. "A-Alright." She said in a confident, yet a little bit shaky, voice and determined eyes.

(K)

Twilight nodded and began focusing her concentration on Blue's markless flank. She considered saying something, but Blue seemed to be doing well on her own.

As magic began to swirl around her horn, she recited one of the spells that had (quite literally) saved the Mane 6's hides not so long ago.

"From all of us together, together we are friends. With the marks of our destinies made one, there is magic without end."

The alicorn hoped it wouldn't matter that the spell was meant for several ponies instead only one. On top of that, she hadn't been the reason Blue's cutiemark had vanished in the first place, and there was no telling whether it had been swapped or not.

Twilight Sparkle used risky magic spell! It was super effective!WHOOPS WRONG RP

The spell reached it's peak and Twilight let loose, firing it at her target. Blue Star was enveloped in a sparkling pink light, and rose into the air.

Entranced by her results, the princess waited for the flash of insight that had come with every restored cutiemark... but it never did. Blue fell back to the ground, landing with a muffled thud as the spell dissipated. Her flanks were still blank.

Twilight's face fell. "I- I thought it would work!"

"Guess not, huh?" Spike cut in, watching almost as intently as Twilight had. In answer to Checkmate's request, he had taken the book everypony else had gotten off the shelves.

"Hmm... well, we didn't have any elements of harmony to work with. And at least I didn't end up in a ethereal plane this time," Twilight said, trying to make the best out of the situation. She looked at Blue.

"Remember what I said before? We have a plan b, if you're still up for it."

...

Grizzly

Blue stood up and wobbled a bit on her hooves as a small black cloud lifted from her partially burned fur, her eyes spinning. She shook her head and held her forehead, then looked at her bare behind and sighed. "Yeah, plan B..." she whispered, but her confidence wasn't as strong as before.

Checkmate

Checkmate grabbed the book and quietly sat down, reading it intensely.
