Shadechaser

As the night in this hidden land continued, Shadechaser was calmly walking around the meadow, never stopping. When a specific event occurred in this world, Shade suddenly remembered bits and pieces. Moments after they came, she started to put them together. Soon, she realized it was a vision... a vision from the shadows. [glow=purple,2,300]When the time stops for no pony, yet I see no movement from any object or pony other than myself... The question returns... "What am I here for?" The lost idea while finding the shadows... As Oblivion merely hints here and there... When I look to Ponyville, I see the homes of many not as they should be. One spark seems to fade from the shadows in the direction of the tree... Nothing remains... nothing to call hope... nothing to pray... No emotion is apparent... yet all is known... The five near the spark... seem to have blocked it from igniting once more... As the spark died away... the five spread away... seeming to leave it no chance to light anew... Then time moves on... The spark ever fading... the hint remained... yet still hidden withing the soot that cover the flame... still waiting for something to allow it to ignite once more. When I look to Ponyville now, I still see one hint of something... a hint of hope? happiness? magic? Questions still remain. When did this happen... how long was I asleep... did I even see this happen... or was it a vision left by the shadows... Only when the light turns to shade... will all be made... to look the same way... the truth of this day...[/glow] [glow=purple,2,300]If all this means something, I need to find the truth. ...yet it can wait until I have reason to go beyond the veil of secrets.[/glow] Shade continued to walk until the end of the night.

Chrysteel woke with a start. She believed she had another of those dreams. like when she gained her princess form.
"I need to tell mother about this dream. This may be another sign." Chrysteel thought.
She found herself in her room. It was a very life-like representation of herself in every way except it didn't take her shape. She walked over to what looked to be a alter of some sort. On the alter was a changeling's insect-like wing, a statue made to look like the alter for the elements of harmony, a egg shell from her birth and a pair of chrysalis strands, one pink and one silver. She knelt before this makeshift alter and did a morning prayer.

After the prayer, she went and did her morning checklist. The items on the list were:
1. Clean self for the day's activities.
2. check and make sure all gear needed for the trip was packed.
3. make sure her power was fully recharged and her main aura active.
4. to check cycle schedule and make sure suppressant was in gear if cycle was near.
5. to meet with mother and wait for the others to be ready.

She did all items on the checklist and was now on number 4. She checked the calender which had the dates of her cycle marked. it was indeed near that time. She goes over to her cabinet and retrieves the suppressant from it. She looked at how much was left and frowned packing it away.
[glow=Navy,2,300]Darn not enough. I have to go get more. Hopefully the shop for it is open today. I really need to invest in that 'suppressant charm' for princesses.[/glow] Chrysteel says aloud to herself.

With her check list marked and complete, she heads out to the store to see if they had any cycle suppressant or suppressant charms for princesses in stock today. She heads down deeper into the hive of Avalon to find the shop she was looking for.
((Hope this is ok or is it too graphic. If it is I can change it. Please let me know here, in OOC or in a pm.))

This is no longer chaos is evil in a pure state, it is no longer a burlesque 'naughty' rather than toward the things in their own way without caring about the other, it is absolute evil, the sooner we finish with its tyranny better

The Wandering Magus

A sort of "morning" came to the Hidden Land of Avalon, with Harmonic magic filling the sky with warm rays of light, a few of the last "normal" birds in all the world singing joyfully to welcome the beginning of another day.

A combination of perfect tranquility and everyday bustle was about the streets and skies of the hive, something which simply didn't exist anymore outside this land.  Merchants were trading, messengers were darting here and there, and the sounds of cheerful foals, chicks, cubs and kids could be heard in many a loving home.

Queen Cadance walked about among her Children, warmly greeting the many denizens of this place, occasionally lending a helping wing or hoof to whoever needed it.  She seemed more quiet and somber than usual, looking about with a sort of nostalgia, as though this may very well be the last time such peace may be found in a long, long time.  This is the day... the start of a great change.  Today the Destined Ones will join me in my journey to Queen Tiamat, and there in the caldera we shall decide the fate of the world.  Father, Mother, give us courage.  No strength of arms or magic can stand before the Enemy.  But let the Fires of Friendship burn in our hearts, and let its light shine out in this dark world.  May it be enough to change the threads of fate...

*****

Queen Tiamat and King Bahamut needed no sleep.  They watched Their Brood without blinking, ceaselessly guarding Their land from the Enemy.

"A PERIOD OF TWELVE HOURS HAS PASSED.  SOON, QUEEN CADANCE, AND THE CHOSEN ONES, SHALL COME."

*****
*****

It didn't make sense.  But what's the fun in making sense?  But this was different.

My name is Twilight Tragedy.  Element of Magic.  And for the first time since I can remember, not that Master allows me to remember much, I feel an emotion.  That emotion is confusion.

I watch the day turn into night, and back into day again.  A hippogriff screams that he can't take it anymore, and slams into Sky Ocean, instantly turning into a happy, mindless seapony mare.  That grey pegasus gallops by on her endless course around the castle for as long as her legs are unbroken.  The next moment, a murder of crows rushes by in hot pursuit.

Chaos.  It's not supposed to be normal.  There isn't supposed to BE a normal.  Is defying the very rules of Chaos still Chaos?

My mind turns back to that filly.  The only filly that ever made Master laugh as far as I can remember.  Why did she laugh?  "You have to find something to laugh about"?  Why?  WHY?

My head hurts even though Master hasn't even done anything recently.  Liarjack comes by and sits next to me.  Her face registers what my books say is "sadness".  An odd thing about Liarjack.  She never, ever tells the truth.  Which means you can often get the truth by thinking backwards.

"Liarjack."

"Yeah, Twi?"

"Tragedy is Magic, is it not?"

She sighed for some reason.  Was it frustration?  Regret?  Resignation?

"Consarn it, Twi, y'all NEVER asked me THAT one b'fore.  But... 'course it is.  Yep.  Tragedy's definitely Magic."

It didn't make sense.  But what's the fun in making sense?  A strange feeling in my stomach and heart.  Why is there water exiting my eyes?

"Thank you, Liarjack.  I... I think I am in need of rest now."

She whispers something.  I ignore it.  What is this feeling?  What is this... emotion?  I stumble through the gateway.  A few million years and more changes than I can count later, I stumble out the other side without a single second having passed.  I move on.  The castle throws me into the black hole.  I teleport out and keep walking.  The dirt maids cover me in dust and start doing an impromptu dance number.  I ignore them.

Laughter.  Why?  Why does my mind keep returning to that filly?  Why do I feel confusion, and why do I feel this may be a key to something?  Freedom?  What is freedom?  The books define freedom as a power or right to act as one wants to without restraint.  But what does that mean?  My only desires are to serve and obey Master.  What does that mean?

I look in the mirror as I enter my room.  Underneath the dust, I see the same grey unicorn I have always been.  But why is there purple flickering inside my eyes?  Why is there a spark in the pupils?  It doesn't make sense.

I water the two plants, ignoring their attempts to curl around my legs.  I lie down on my bed.  Perhaps sleep will remove this confusion.

The last thought that comes to mind before I sleep is an image of Apple Pie, and the word "Laughter".

Asterian walks back to the grand hall the feast had been thrown in, hoping to find the Queen or somepony else there. [glow=yellow,2,300]"Hello?"[/glow] he calls out, [glow=yellow,2,300]"Anypony here?"[/glow] He looked in all directions but saw no sign of life anywhere. He thought,[glow=yellow,2,300]"Might as well pass time; There is sure to be somepony that will come here."[/glow] He walked outside the main doors and sat down on the marble steps. He conjured a golden flame and gently whispered to it, [glow=yellow,2,300]"Am I mad, or do my dreams have meaning?"[/glow] The orb pulsed, and although it offered no verbal answer, it offered the stallion comfort in its company. He began again, [glow=yellow,2,300]"Maybe you're right. Maybe they do have meaning... but what could they mean?"[/glow] The blazing orb twinkled at him in response. Asterian continued to sit upon the steps as he cloned the orb twice, creating four balls of fire before moving them around one another in a slow waltz.

((Magus made me want to slap twilight into a reality check.))

Chrysteel is leaving the store she needed to find with a charm necklace in her telekinesis. She puts the charm in the gear she has for the trip and makes for the place of meeting to have breakfast. Her gear is light compared to other diplomatic trips.

((I hope you don't mind Magus. This is pretty much what she has with her for all trips of diplomacy. Usually with the changes based on time of year.))
Spoiler: show

Chrysteel's Gear for trip:
1. Chrysteel's spell book
2. The charm she just got
3. the last of her suppressant
4. a few scrolls
5. a quill
6. some ink
7. her saddle bags (to hold it all.)
8. a weeks worth of her favorite candy treats (Changeling Love Treats)

When she gets there she sees Asterian on the steeps.
[glow=navy,2,300]Morning Asterian. Did you sleep well last night?[/glow] She asks and says to Asterian.

[glow=navy,2,300]I do hope your dreams were peaceful. Mine weren't as lucky. I will say more on them when mother is here. Shall we eat while waiting for the others?[/glow] Chrysteel says as she heads inside to eat breakfast.

Asterian looked up upon hearing a familiar voice, jumping to his hooves almost instantly after realizing it was Chrysteel. He bowed deeply to her and replied, [glow=yellow,2,300]"Indeed it was the best sleep I have had in years."[/glow] He rose from his bow and continued on, [glow=yellow,2,300]"My dreams have always been dark, but only as of late have they seemed to have meaning. I can hear Their cries of pain underneath the chaotic glaze of His magic."[/glow] He shuddered as he recalled the grim details of his dream. After a few seconds to compose himself, he looked down at the rag he called a cloak and sighed, [glow=yellow,2,300]"Alas, the years have been cruel."[/glow]

[glow=yellow,2,300]"But enough of that; now is a time for relaxation and peace, not worry and hardship. After you."[/glow] He motioned towards the door and followed Chrysteel inside. [glow=yellow,2,300]"Tell me, ambassador, you don't know where I could perhaps acquire better garments for the journey, do you? Not that it matters; I don't actually have anything worth bargaining for it..."[/glow] He shrugged slightly at the thought. Even if he could find what he had in mind, the cloak and hat would be far beyond his realm of purchase, however, he still walked unfazed as he walked with Chrysteel. His eyes maintained their gem-like luster; his face wearing the same charming smile as it did.

Shadechaser continues to walk about, and now with more direction. [glow=purple,2,300]When the dark of night fades away... I soon realize something has left from yesterday...[/glow] As Shade walks to the meeting location (Where ever it be... :P) she starts to think. [glow=purple,2,300]When the signs are clear as day, yet hidden like a new land... one must wonder... where it truly began...[/glow] Shade stops. "If this land is truly hidden... the evil may never find this place... If there is hope within all creatures... all ponies... every living being... then there may be a way to find true happiness..." Shade looks to the sky. [glow=purple,2,300]If only Discord... Discord... What is Discord... a true tyrant to this world? some creature that just wanted to have fun in his own way? If so, then why corrupt those who have the power... the power of friendship...[/glow] "As darkness fades away... night can never truly stay. When light shows the way... none can truly say... If the darkness fades for good... show the light what is not in sight... as darkness sends the mood... take the world back to night..." Shade lowers her head and shakes it. "If I am ever to stay up one more night in this world... I may go insane." (Shade... are you forgetting some where you have to go?) Shade looks around and thinks she spots a cloak dealer. "If the travel takes long... I may need to stay in the shadows of something... and a cloak seems to fit the requirements..." Shade standing, still trying to identify if they truly are a cloak dealer. (Or at least a cloth merchant. I will wait for GM to decide.) Shade trusting that it is a cloth dealer, goes up to them and purchases a full body robe. Shade then returns to her walk after putting the robe on. (Just to continue to gain energy from the dark. ^-^)

today is the day. today arrived, the freedom fighters,
he rises from the ground having meditated more than enough, to commune with nature, (knowing the bodies of water that exist in 1 mile to the Roundtable, the creatures that inhabit it, and if there are artificial constructions, are detected as black spots in vision level 5 spell)

today we are marching towards our destination. his voice is quiet and calm as the soft wind in the morning

SuperNovaNightmare

Nova decided that maybe meditating until called upon was a bad idea, after being like that for quite some time, and decided to explore, and see if anyone else was awake. El Chupa saw his master get up, and got to his feet and followed his master out of the room.

"Well, I do feel very calm now, more than I have in years. Ahhh, I missed this feeling. How about you, El Chupa, you sleep any good?"

He whispered to his pet.

El Chupa just slowly blinked at Nova. Though he started to shake his tail, and his ears lifted a bit.

"Couldn't have said it better my self, heheh."

Nova chuckled, glad to see that El Chupa was finally showing signs of a full recovery from being a stone for so long. They walked down the corridor, and out to the entrance hall, and took a step outside. Nova took a deep breath of fresh air.

"Best sleep, ever. Hahaha!"

He said with a big grin on his face. He knew today was going to be big, and was finally happy to know at least he was going to be a part of it.

[glow=navy,2,300]There are places here to get some items but the best place is the dragon smiths and clothiers of Queen Tiamat. You might ask her about it while we are there. today it begins. Last night's dream was much like seeing other places for me. Though within the ponies I saw, I saw traits I hadn't seen in along time. One made discord laugh and the other is very keen to her child. I have a strong feeling we will need these two for our quest but hopefully we can get them before 'he' realizes why we may need their help.[/glow] Chrysteel says to her new friend.
[glow=navy,2,300]To be honest with you mother did say the truth when she said i had been around for a long time. I was watching when the 6 were corrupted. It is an event I wish to fix. I hope when all is said and done we can save the 6 from him. How has the morning treated you so far, Asterian?[/glow] Chrysteel says to Asterian as she sits at the table about to eat breakfast.

Asterian Starfall

He smiled benevolently and responded, [glow=yellow,2,300]"Thank you for that. I'll bear that in mind when we see Her. To answer your question, it has been wonderful, thanks to the city, you, and your Mother. How I wish it would never end..."[/glow] His mind floated off into the possibility of him living there, forever surrounded by the peace and tranquility that is Avalon. [glow=yellow,2,300]"Oh, sorry,"[/glow] he explained, [glow=yellow,2,300]"Had a bit of a day-dream. Alas I did not find this city earlier in all my years of toil in the forest. Chrysteel, you have some legal powers... Perhaps after all this is over I could become a citizen here legally."[/glow] What he did next was unintentional; he winked at her. He hardly realized he did so, let alone why. Perhaps it was just part of his charm that compelled him to do it... Then again, perhaps not.

The hippogriff opened her eyes slowly. She has always been the type to take time to wake up and get up. She got up from her bed and picked a picture of her parents, a couple of happy changelings, she had over the bedside table. She thought on her mission. The farthest she had ever gone from Avalon was the outside forest for her patrol, and suddenly she has been asigned a mission to escort the Princess, the Queen and their guests to the land of the dragons. She was so excited, but the thought of not being able to see her parents for sometime started to weight on her heart. Picking a piece of paper, a quill and an ink bottle, she started writing.

"Dear father and mother,

How are you today? I hope you're alright. I have great news for you: Today I have been asigned my first mission outside of Avalon. I'm going to be part of the personal escort team of our Princess Chrysteel, our Benevolent Queen Cadence and their guests to the Land of Dragons! I'm so excited! I know the world outside is dangerous, but I must answer my duty as a guard, like father always did. You don't need to worry, I've grown up and I'll be as careful as I can.

But the thought of being so far from you for so long weights my heart. Even if after I became a knight of Avalon I haven't been able to see you everyday, it wasn't that painful, because I knew I was only a wings distance from you. But now, it's completely different. I wish to see you before I leave. In fact, I wished to be on my way to you, but I can't leave the quarter right before my mission. We will leave Avalon at -------, and I hope this letter reach you at time for you to come for my departure. But if it don't, I really want you to know one thing: I love you two, from the bottom of my heart.

From your beloved daughter,
Ilias Lightbringer."

She left her room and went to post the letter on the mail before doing anything. After that, she went right to the quarter's female communitarian bath, and then to the refectory for her breakfast. The quarter's food wasn't really bad, but was far from being the same thing as her mother's food. She wished to taste her food one last time before leaving. For some reason, she knew this mission wouldn't be just any mission, and something big would happen. Even more if the rumors about the time for the prophecy to come true was near were true.

After eating, she got ready to depart, putting on her armor and picking her spear and the picture of her parents, and started to walk towards the meeting place.

Shadechaser

Shade continues to walk to the meeting place. (Guided by the shadow instinct. :P) "When darkness fades... no life truly stays..." (How far away were you Shade?) Shade finally looks ahead and sees Chrysteel and Asterian. "When the night truly stays... what is left too late..." Shade just casually walks up to the meeting spot.

[glow=navy,2,300]well when all this is over you can settle anywhere and be like it is here. I will see what I can do but I have a strong feeling when all is said and done I will be a queen with my own children to care for.[/glow] Chrysteel says with a slight blush at his wink.
[glow=navy,2,300]You need to work on that wink of yours though.[/glow] Chrysteel says chuckling.

[glow=navy,2,300]Hello there shade. Are you good to go on the trip to see Queen Tiamat? We are waiting for the others and mother to get here.[/glow] Chrysteel says to shade.

SuperNovaNightmare

After standing around the main doors, and nobody appeared, Nova started to get confused.

"Huh, where is everyone?"

Thought Nova.

He decided to fly into the air to investigate. He prepared to jumped, but then stopped himself, and started to feel embarrassed.

"Heheh, right, no wings, ugh."

Groaned Nova.

"Well, looks like we got some running around to do, El Chupa, come on."

He said to his pet.

They both started off in the direction of what they thought was the center of Avalon, in hopes to run into someone familiar.

Shadechaser

"Hi." Shade said as she walked up to have a seat nearby on the stairs. "Somethings are meant to be formal, yet in this time something are taken away from the formal necessities and become stressful when attempting to return to them." Shade looks to the meadow where she walked through out the night. "In a place of peace and serenity... I can't see why I don't want to stay... yet there is a part of me that wants to see the action. Just something to kick. Something to send a rush through my body... ...If you'll excuse me, I need to meditate." Shade gets up and walks over to the nearest and biggest shadowy area. She then takes a seat on the ground and starts to chant something of the ancient language in Oblivion. Moments later, you could faintly see a glowing from Shade's horn and orbs of the same glow. [glow=purple,2,300]Darkness, show me the truth of the ages. What has happened from beyond my slumber? Is this just a dream? Is this a world never entitled to fate? Please tell me my role in this world.[/glow] As she continued, the orbs remained growing only to the size of four hooves across.

Kwe, kwe, na-to-ra, ye shall understand.

She was there, with the other Destined Ones, the filly Apple Pie, the grey pegasus Derpy.  A purple mare, now an earth pony filly, now a middle-aged pegasus, now an elderly unicorn, finds Friendship once more in the midst of Laughter.  An orange mare cleans off an ancient hat, still a Liar, but determined to be Kind to all that accepted her help, to atone for her sins.

One by one, the six grey ponies gaining color.  Only a few return to their original Element, but all are redeemed, through the actions of the Destined Ones.  Fiery battles, tests of wit, great debates in the sky as flashes of rainbow lightning appear far below.  A sad, but happy pink pony with straight hair saying goodbye as her Element of Rage cracks and crumbles into nothing, without an Element of Laughter to replace it.  An ethereal, angelic yellow pegasus restraining a dark half-draconequui half-pegasus as a rainbow of light rains down.

Endless possibilities, but each one offering another step higher, one more step closer to freedom.  The Night and the Day set free, the Castle itself set free.  A final battle for the ages.  A Nightmare from beyond time itself.

An Element about her neck.  Yet before she can tell which one it was, the vision fades, leaving only words...

Kwe, Kwe, na-to-ra, ye shall understand.

-----

The Changeling Queen sighed, having toured every single street and greeted just about every single inhabitant of her realm since having woken up this morning.  So... it is in the realm of Tiamat that the fate of the world shall be decided.

Was she ready?  Of course not.  Can anyone ever truly be ready for what may be the destruction of all she ever hoped for, the sacrifice of countless innocents, all for the faint hope of a better world?  But she was willing to make that sacrifice.  May her Children forgive her.  None of them deserve suffering.  Has not the world suffered enough already at the claws of the Enemy?  Yet now it was for the good of the world that she herself will have to entrust her home, her precious Children, to the hooves of Fate.

Changeling guards quickly come and form ranks beside her as comfortingly familiar green flames form a circle about her for a short-range teleport to the meeting location.  A sensation of falling through liquid earth later, the world shifted and reformed into the meeting location.  She was pleased that almost all the Destined Ones were already here.

"Chrysteel, my Child.  Asterian, Shade, Super Nova.  Before we begin, I must stress to you all one last time that this is to be your choice alone.  I do not force any oath upon you.  At any time, if you wish to withdraw, if the burden is too great for you, there is no shame in turning aside.  Nevertheless we do ask it of you.  So here, once more, I say this.  If you will come, then step into the circle."

As the Queen prepared the long-range teleport, a changling couple rushed up the steps led by a messenger.  "Ilias!  Ilias!  We got your message!  Keep safe, sweetheart"

"Make sure to protect everyone and do your best!  We're all counting on you!"

After some running around, Nova and his pet finally saw someone familiar in the distance.

"Ah, I can see Asterian! Finally I found the place."

Thought Nova as he rushed over to him.

He then quickly noticed he was with the others.

"Perfect, everyone is here. I can't wait to go!"

Nova thought happily.

It was quite some time cense his last big event, which was hardly a event. It only being him and all, felt more like a rouge mission, and he only temporarily felt like he accomplished something. Now, he was going to to be a larger help than ever before, and he could hardly contain his energy. He unsteadily stopped where everyone was standing, almost falling yet again, on his face.

"Whoa, whoa, remember, calm."

He thought to himself, taking several deep breaths.
