I seem to be one of very few people with a single OC which is an Earth Pony.
No love for my earth-pony brethren.

You're right I should. Though I hesitate to as my OC was not created to be an interesting character but it is basically me without any shielding, and contains aspects of my personality that I couldn't bring myself to share with my old psychologist.
Character name: Coveting Envy.

"How do we first begin to covet? We start by coveting what we see everyday."

This character is obviously heavily based around the sin of Envy. As envy being the sin most likely to cause the 6 other sins and reflects very well on my personality, both as someone with severe self-confidence issues or any other problems  off the LONG list of problems I have.

BIo: Hates the colour green. Lives feeling constantly inferior to others he believes to be less intelligent and more ignorant than himself, be it that he cannot fly or perform magic or that he isn't very strong or that his mother believes him to be less than a pony due to his bisexuality, or that he isn't very attractive, or his crippling loneliness or the feeling that he deserves so much worse. The worst thing in his entire life that causes a moderate percentage of the frequent spells of depression that he gets on a regular basis is that he doesn't have anything worth complaining about, he's not SPECIAL, he should be happy with his life as an incredibly intelligent individual that gets to pretty much do whatever he wants as one of THE laziest ponies in all of equestria who just analyses stories, characters, science, psychology, simulations, ponies he know and reality itself all day everyday while he eats the food he enjoys. But he's not special enough, he want's to be appreciated by others and he wants to entertain or interest other ponies with his jokes and knowledge. But he's so bitter he judges everypony he meets which makes everything so much worse But of all the stories and games and simulations he immerses himself in, he's always been obsessed with romance as it was the one thing that the combination of Science/Psychology/Philosophy he studies vigorously could not ruin and All he truly wants in life is to have a brilliant romance story of his own that would restore his faith in existence itself and make him the happiest colt in the entire universe.



Wow. I actually make a more interesting character than I give myself credit for.

I'd like to state this pony has a 0% chance of existing in Equestria for a handful of reasons. One, only an insane pony would name their child after a sin. Two, a pony's sexuality is a taboo subject. Three, he attempts to commit suicide. Lastly, he desires to murder other ponies. The show could not support a character with these qualities, regardless of reason. Of course, I can judge an OC out of context of the show, but I don't think I should. You said it yourself that this character is based on you, and in judging this character, I am judging you or at least parts of you. It's not my place to judge another person, especially another person's problems, as we all have our share of troubles we must find the strength to overcome.

I would very much like to evaluate a character that is the product of your imagination, rather than your personal life.

Please blam this entirely and start over. There are more than a few outright violations of the forum rules in this character.

Sorry to say it, but this 'character' just looks like an overzealous attempt at being edgy.

Wow. Personally I don't think this OC is any edgier than an OC like DigiBrony where his own perception of the universe he lives in has twisted his personality nor is he edgier than the cannon pony of Pinkie Pie where her incredible lack of self-confidence allows her to develop schizophrenic qualities when she felt she wasn't bringing smiles to peoples faces. He would never harm another as he simply desires a romance that makes him think that equestria is a place worth living in. Which makes his sexuality important as it is a large part of his character.

This character is simply an earth pony with no special skills of any kind other that he is very good with complex puzzles and math. and not even hugely above average. He's just not bad at it.
I has already been established that names of ponies will always reflect on a characters Personality/ Appearance or career path.
And the fact that he starting thinking he would rather end the life of others than his own shows not that he is edgy but simply speaks to how cowardly a pony he is, making hims more envious of others.

I'm sorry, it was rude of me to phrase it like that. I'm still used to forums where people constantly argue with each other.
