"Um..."Cookie stared at Harmony for a bit. "I was going to offer but if you want to, go ahead I guess. I just hope you know what you're doing" Cookie said reluctantly

"Fire beats wood! Timberwolves are wood!" Shine pointed out. ((And Shine's a girl.))

So when can I set stuff on fire he asked with a strange sense of enthusiasm

"Not sure yet, but it's an idea. It might become catastrophic if it sets the forest on fire... We need someone with extreme plan skills to prevent a forest fire. And any other way and they'll reform themselves... Hmmm..."

He grunted and sat down, waiting for something exciting to happen

"Well maybe there is another way to destroy wood" Cookie offered

"Hmm... Lightning? No, that just makes more fire... Ooh! Separate the pieces so they can't come back together!"

"And how do you plan to do that hun?"

Simple, get close and smash them to pieces

A lightbulb appeared over Shine's head. "I've got it! I'vegotit I'vegotit I'vegotit! If it tries to piece together without an important load bearing part, it can't stay together! We only need to hide away ONE special piece!"

"So what your saying is we have to rip out a specific part of a wolf made of sticks who wants to rip us to shreds...alright then"

I can do that easily He could too, he was alot stronger than he looked and he knew how to swing

"No, before they can piece together again. However there's one problem: distinguishing body parts when not together. They just look like sticks." Shine figured out. ((Have to go. Do what you want with the plan. Use it, or archive it, or crumple it up and chuck it in the river, whatever.))

"I... I'm good at moving objects... I've never tried actually forcing... apart a Timberwolf... but I suppose... I could."

She could question Harmony about his spontanious colour swap later. Clearly she was addressing another pony all together. That would be an interesting dinner conversation. Until then, there was a pack of Timberwolves. Naturally, there was talk of fire.

"Killing them won't help us." Springstep stepped up to the front. "If we kill them, more will come to neutralize the threat. No, we just need to make it clear that they are not welcome."

She turned to the pegasus that was Harmony and to Omicron. "What we need to do is replicate how they mark territory, in a sense. They will want to dispute borders I'm sure, but it will be better than attacking them on what they think is their home."

"Fair enough, sounds a lot better than possibly getting our hooves ripped off" Cookie sighed

"But how they do so is the question..." Rain said.

Springstep had no idea. She decided that standing around might not be productive. She put her hoof into the ground a foot or so ahead and, across the entire group, made a bold line in the ground. She pushed the dirt toward the wolves, and stood back. She stood flank to flank with Smart Cookie and Rain. She made herself as large looking as she could.

"The second they cross that line, snarl at them." She said. "Don't move, just sound stern. If they come closer, then hit them hatd enough, but don't right out fight them. Once they are back on their side of the line, stop snarling. Hopefully that will get the message across."
