Summer Camp Calamity -Jump In-

Cookie giggled at the last bit "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess." Cookie eyed Shine after the last statement. "Speaking of which, you dont look to bad yourself lass" she mumbled to herself.

She laughed a little. "Thank you. And I'm not saying I would hate camping here, I do truly like it, sometimes I forget I'm not in front of my Canterlot friends. I'm sure you know that feeling, Cookie." Shine admitted. "It's actually what I love about here. But we have many contrasting opinions, don't we, Shiny?" Rain said playfully.

Cookie giggles and puts down the food at a nearby table "Now where are the others, I'd bet they'd love to meet you two"

"And I would simply adore to meet them! Now Rain, you purposely got me to come here, didn't you?" She said. "Yeah, I thought it would be a great and fun thing to do!" Rain said, taking pride in his being able to get her to come.

"Well, anyway, what should we do now?" Shine asked. "I kinda wanna sightsee. You know, look at the scenery. See what's around. And maybe take a nice walk. Sound good?"

Springstep pivoted toward the camp's hub. She looked over her shoulder to Harmony, assuring that he was meant to follow. "My trails are the only papers organized in that office. I really should fix that. I guess now I can, with all this-"

Timberwolves.

They were far too close. The howling, in Springstep's opinion, was never far enough. Springstep began to panic. She breathed. Timberwolves were near the camp. At least there weren't any foals here. Thanks to Omicron, soon-

Omicron!

"Trails will have to wait, Harmony." She turned her ears to find their direction. "Can you take to the sky? There is an indigo unicorn named Omicron, and he was helping by securing the borders of the camp. He's a bigger stallion- you should be able to find him pretty quickly. I'm going to see who's still here t help."

Springstep didn't wait for an answer, though she ought to have. The others had to be nearby...

Rain and Shine looked back at Springstep. "Can we help?" asked Rain.

"Yeah Springstep, whats got you so worked up? You need our help?" Cookie asked after placing the food on the table

Back at the camp, a loud howl is emitted from some nearby Timberwolves. Suddenly, Omicron bursts out of the trees, his horn glowing a neon blue, followed by a huge cart full of rocks and logs.

"Springstep, we may have a bit of a problem. While collecting wood to make a blockade I MAY have run across just a FEW Timberwolves. I lost them for now, but they'll probably be here soon."

Quickly he concentrates magic into his horn and drops large rocks down into the ground in a semicircle facing into the forest where the Timberwolf howls came from. Then he pulls out a collection of logs and places them on top of the rocks at an angle where the top side faced into the woods.

Now sweating considerably, Omicron places a large log on the ground, tips the cart so it's single broad handle faced toward the ground, places all of the remaining branches and stones on the ground and sticks a large rock into the cart.

"Makeshift catapult. We might need it soon."

From there he puts a massive boulder right next to the cart. The Timberwolves howl again, this time even louder.

Omicron collapses from exhaustion. "I'll... be... fine... just let me... get my breath."

Shine started walking over to the blockade, and slipped and fell. "Oh, ick!" She got up and got a closer look. "How strong are these Timberwolves anyway? You sure they could break through this?" she asked concerningly.

"Sure hope not, or we have a fight on our hands" Cookie pops her neck in both directions in preparation

"Hmm... It's hard to see under the water here, it could serve as a hiding place from them if they come in." Rain pointed out.

Harmony flew down Do we really "Have" to fight? He asked nervously

"Well, I'm certainly considering my options about fighting." Shine said. "I'd follow Rain's lead and hide underwater if I could hold my breath long enough. But that's never been my strongsuit... I could help find things to launch in the catapult."

"I'll hide!" Rain said, finding a very thick tree, and going behind. "I'll find ammunition!" Shime said, finding heavy and large objects for the catapult.

 "If only Blue were here, in case one of us got hurt..." Cookie looked toward the woods once more, a single bead of sweat falling down her face

"I've got it! Who here is good with fire?" Shine asked.
