Personality: Kind, Open, Friendly. Yet when put into a situation he is not used to/comfortable with he can be very awkward.

Story

Childhood

Starlight does not have any real childhood. He was found when he was 17 by a guard while on patrol in a large forest by Ponyville. (Not to be confused with the Everfree) He claims that when he found him he was unresponsive, and only after a trip to the hospital did Starlight start talking. He had no recollection of anything before the hospital. After close study Unicorns say that some kind of memory wiping spell was applied onto him. Because of this Starlight had to practicly start over, the kind guard and his wife taking care of him. All the colt knew was the guard, and how nice his new dad was. So he felt it was his duty to do the same. Besides, it seemed to be in his blood to help and protect others. He received his cutie mark saving a helpless earth pony from a terrible fall off a balloon.

Present

Presently Starlight is a loyal guard. He works closely with his father, who taught him the ropes. Starlight shows great potential as a guard, knight, and even possibly a hero. Yet in everday life Starlight is less then exemplary. Because he had no childhood to develop socially. He has problems even trying to have normal conversation with the rest of the guys. Although he has worked past most of his barriers, he still finds extremes like romance and close friendships hard. Yet having Starlight's friendship is considered a gift by those who are close to him.

Starlight is always willing to talk to new ponies and try to make new friends.

The Armor

Well, through other RP on another site, Starlight was given this as a gift. During this time a ton of other ponies started having SE vs NLR debates. Although Starlight at the time was assigned as personal guard of Luna, he felt that ponies shouldn't encourage talk of splitting up or, who is 'Rightfull Ruler.' So, after showing great concern to Luna, and her in turn talking to Celestia. The two had his armor crafted, sporting both iconic images of the princess merged together. (Although other images show them close to each other.)

They also assigned Starlight a new role, to visually and physically keep peace between ponies and guard of both representing sides.

The first day he paraded around Ponyville with SE and NLR guards, and they tore down their own banners hung by the citizens with the Mayor's permission.

"Ponies! The princess love each other and wish for you not to fight for either one. They are united for us to be united!"

After awhile things calmed down, yet occasionally guards fight among each other over old SE and NLR blood, and he breaks these up.

He is the only pony he knows who has been made custom armor except for each of the princesses themselves. But he is sure it is just because the occasion for it hardly comes up, for he wasn't very special.

I'm not sure. They have somewhat similar color schemes. (Blue and white jacket, pale complexion.)

I made him before shining, and when they showed a picture of shining armor, everybody (even the ones that knew about star before shining release) called me a copy xD. Besides visually (which i am assuming you don't care for. What else do you think?

Although the story in itself is interesting, I'm not sure if I would have it apply to RP here, as I do my best to keep the sites separate.

If Starlight did something with a Rainbow Dash on one site I wouldn't want to make the one here or somewhere else be that.

So, more than likely in rp on this site he will wear standard armor unless things like this would be exceptional for the host.
