The Dreamer [Private] (Ch3: The Things You Fear Most)

[Seriack]

Farsight glances toward Zappy, and teleports to him. He stands over the young Changeling and his Rapiers vanish, being replaced by a shield and long sword. Careful Zappy, these things mean business... He says, understating the situation...

[Teal Turken]

Zappy huddles against Farsight's hind leg.
W-what are they? he asks fearfully.

[Seriack]

Our nightmares made manifest.... He says in reply, focused on watching the movements of the Pantacorns, to make sure they don't attempt to take him by surprise.

[Explicit Escritoire]

Explicit redirects the crystal fragments now, sending them towards the panthacorn assaulting Farsight and Zappy. Without realizing it, she's leaving herself defenseless to the two panthacorns that rest upon the 'shoulders' of the animated tree. One jumps at Explicit, successfully tackling her and pulling her off the tree. The tree turns, slowly using a foot made of roots to kick the Panthacorn out of the way, but the other is quickly atop her. The panthacorn attacking Farsight is distracted now by the prick against its backside from the crystal shards. Long enough to counter attack.

[Seriack]

Farsight uses his now Dream-infused power to smash his shield at the pantacorn, and follows with a sword slice. Zappy, you may want to hop on... And hold on tight.

[Teal Turken]

Okay. he replies.
Zappy hops up onto Seriack's back and sits, hanging on tightly.

[Explicit Escritoire]

Explicit bats at the panthacorn with her hooves, buying herself some time while Farsight makes his way over. In case he doesn't make it, though, she gives herself an insurance plan. The tree replants itself in the ground and the shard within it are released, available for her control once more. If Farsight can't make it, the shards will.

The kicked and thrown panthacorns recover, moving over to the other atop Explicit. Now only three panthacorns remain, two sorely wounded.

[Seriack]

Once Zappy is settled on his back, Farsight charges forward, between the two((?)) Pantacorns that were attacking him. BE REPULSED BY DREAMS! He shouts, sending a wave of pure Dream energy out from him, the golden magic smashing into the Pantacorns. Before they could recover, he gallops towards Explicit and attempts to ram sword and shield into the Panthacorn that is still pinning her.

[Explicit Escritoire]

Explicits breathes a sight of relief as the panthacorn goes limp atop her. She shivers slight, rearing her legs back and bucking the panthacorn off. She uses the shards under her control to assault one of the remaining panthacorns, obliterating it. Only one Panthacorn remains now.

Explicit shakes herself back to reality, having been a little winded from the pinning. "That wasn't flattering at all." she says as she brushes herself off.

[Seriack]

I can only imagine... He replied, keeping his attention on the last Panthacorn, expecting some kind of trick.

[Explicit Escritoire]

It seems Farsight has his fair share of knowledge when it comes to dreams and nightmares, or whatever it is that's keeping the group trapped here. Expecting the worst is just what keeps you alive sometimes.

The panthacorn starts to go ethereal. Its wings, made entirely of bone, begin to desegment, still connected via sharp blades. When it's done, its wings have become large blades, capable of reaching a fair distance. Explicit reacts immediately by swirling her shard quickly, looking for something inanimate to enchant. And then she notices Farsight's armor. She nods at him, her shards slowing and rotating around him. She only waits for his acceptance of her idea.

[Seriack]

He looks at the shards, then at Explicit... It seems she has an idea. He gives a nod, telling her to go ahead. He levitates Zappy off his back and onto the ground nearby.

[Teal Turken]

Zappy stands with a small wobble. He never really liked being levitated around, it scared him.
He looks to the pantacorn oddly.
um...so...you want me to take care of it or something?

[Explicit Escritoire]

Explicit quickly embeds the shards into Farsight's armor, causing some drastic changes to say the least. The armor grows additional thickness, but becomes lighter. In addition, the shield he wields becomes a connected portion of the armor, attached via a gauntlet, freeing up Farsight's shield hand. The blade remains the same, though several new blades erupt from the surface of the armor, giving his helmet and plate damage reflection.

(In addition to all of this, his armor now has a hydraulic system and a horn on his helmet is adorned with a pair of fuzzy dice.)

"Zappy, he's going to need a small distraction." Explicit says with a smile.

[Teal Turken]

You're sure? I mean...lightning's really fast but if you really think so...

[Explicit Escritoire]

The panthacorn strikes out at Explicit, who runs behind the now inanimate tree to avoid the attack.

"Zappy! Hurry!"

[Teal Turken]

Okay, okay!
Zappy charges up his tail, making it glow blue. In an instant a bolt of lightning shoots out like dart aiming for the pantacorn.

[Seriack]

As the bolt shoots out, Farsight flies behind it, tackling the Panthacorn, using his shield to bash it while his sword and armor cut at it. He wanted to finish this beast off quickly, so they could continue on.

[Jenzy]

Whoah! Well, o-ok... What's happening?
Jenzy said from a distance. He had caught up with the group...

[Explicit Escritoire]

The panthacorn falls to the ground, twitching in its final moments. Explicit breaths a sigh of relief and moves over to the others, hearing Jenzy in the background. She pulls the shards out of Farsight's armor, turning to face Jenzy. "Not much, just doing some life or death things without you. We should keep moving, I want to get to Pride. I want to put him out of his misery if nothing else." Explicit says, returning the crystals to her pocket and starting off again in her previous direction.
