Welcome! I would love critiques and comments on my characters. I also stink at writing out personalities so if you guys ( and gals!) on the forum wouldn't mind helping out with that.  Thanks.
I will continuously edit these.
I go by a human equivalent of age as well as the current year for ages.

Strengths: She is lithe and flexible. She is intelligent and works best alone...
Weaknesses and Fears: She is afraid of knives, fire, hot ovens, bicycle accidents, loss of a loved one, death... most poisonous things or other that can cause obvious harm. She doesn't have many street smarts either and is impatient. She has very little physical strength. She also thinks quite slowly and con't work in a group. She's lazy and a procrastinator. < And is also terrible at listing strengths and personality.>
Likes: Apples (most besides red delicious), carrots, sugar cubes, yellow sorrel, deep thought, caution, solitariness, control, quiet, painting (acrylic), drawing, sewing, baking, receiving genuine deserved praise.
Dislikes: Responsibility of others, being given undeserved praise, teen-drama, pessimism, over-exaggeration
Bio: She was an orphan and was adopted by a kind family. She started drawing at age four, and still does. She is a good student, and gets decent grades. <is too lazy... blablabla...>

Glacial Shard

Date of Birth: March 18, 1975
Location: Canterlot
Appearance: His cutie mark is a dragon scale with the first rune of the Futhark/Futhorc alphabet on it.
Special Talent: Speaking dragon-tongue/ communicating with dragons.
Strengths: Is in physical shape and is witty and analytical. He can preform several spells and magical feats, as mentioned below.

Ice: Shard can create ice out of the air as long as there is enough humidity to support that (which there usually is, unless you're in a desert per se). He can make an assortment of three dimensional objects under 10³ inches (about 25.4³ cm). He can also make longer thinner polygons and prisms, using roughly the same amount of ice.
Telekinetic/Levitation: He has the ability to levitate himself into the air for about a minute, enough time to save himself from falling off a rock face for example. He can also do the 'ordinary' tasks of moving everyday objects, like a comb.

He has a basic knowledge of light magic, and a beginners knowledge of summoning, but he is not yet ready to use his summoning skills out in the field. His light magic consists of making spheres of light, useful for illuminating dark places.

Weaknesses: Is claustrophobic ( not severely) and has a terrible sense of direction. Dislikes falling rocks or other things that have the danger of caving in. He is also gets sea-sick.
Biography:
Growing up, Shard was a bright individual who enjoyed school most of the time. He liked to learn, even if he didn't enjoy all of the classes he took. He lived in Baltimare for the first seventeen years of his life. Shard was taken to the Frozen North when he was eighteen, over the summer. He learned how to ice climb there, and he also met a dragon. He eventually learned dragon-tongue and befriended the dragon he met. The dragon's name was Kyslu. Shard gained his cutie mark through his learning of dragon-tongue. Shard returned to Baltimare for another couple years. The new friends kept in contact with one another, through a form of telepathy that involves enchanted dragon scales. He furthered his studies in dragons. Shard moved into an apartment in Canterlot, and went to college. He worked part time at a restaurant as a waiter. He met a fellow dragon enthusiast during college, and they both joined the Secret and Ancient Society of Dragonologists (SASD) and made some friends there. During his senior year in college, his father died due to an aortic aneurysm. His mother later married another stallion, Grand Heart. Grand Heart had two daughters, Silver and Golden Heart. Silver Heart was the younger of the two, and their mother died while giving birth to her. Shard doesn't like Grand Heart, although he does like the Heart sisters. (The Heart sisters are owned by Sweet Apple, as well as some character ideas for the Heart family.) Golden Heart married Mez (another character of mine), and had a foal, making Shard an uncle.

He teaches Dragonology and Other Beasts at the Royal Academy of Magic in Canterlot.
Relatives: Granite Cliff (father), Sweet Maple (mother), Grand Heart (step-father), Golden Heart (sister-in-law), Silver Heart (sister-in-law), Misurino{Mez}(brother-in-law), Alpine Willow (niece).
Personality: He gets irritated at other's for doing things without reason. He is calm most of the time. He is not very assertive of others if it isn't needed and would rather follow than lead (or just pretend to and do his own thing without disturbing others).

Appearance: A red mare with pink and yellow hair that is syled in large curls.
Special Talent: Arranging and growing flowers.

Blooming Rose

Appearance: She is an average yellow pony with a pink wavy mane.
Special talent: Drawing flowers, although she also has a large knowledge on them.
Personality: She is sweet and caring. She respects authority figures (be it a Princess or a parent) and loves to help.
