Bright Mane scoffs and continues sketching.

You interested in art, sir? If so you might find a few of my pictures of interest.

Mane flipped out a couple oil paintings, some lamanated pastel pictures and a few sketches.

But if you would LOOK and not TALK, that would be just magic!

Then Mane spotted Ryo, well more like glared at him but, other than that, didn't show she even recognized his existence.

Kai smiled "Yes indeed art is one of the great forms of precision and focus, and the work developed into it is simply fascinating even from a psychological stand point of the image itself and the emotions it encompasses simply fascinating but as you wish I shall remain quiet and watch"

Ryo felt an odd sensation and turns and looks

"Oh Kai hey wondering off like that"

"Shh Ryo can't you see the young miss needs focus"

Mane's hoof twitched. Cutting a dusk-shard pillar in half. Mane bit her lip and sighed.

"There, the initial sketch is done. Now, what brings two 'FINE' gentleman like you two. . . ." Mane gave them a little smirk. "Around an artist? Besides distracting her and ruining the scenary, of course.

"well I was looking for this fool in front of you"
"hey"
"and I can't resist a chance to see such wonderful work"

"Im just here for the fun, but I had to come and bug this guy though Im curious why your stat in such a odd location"

Bright Mane's ears twitched.
Odd? Odd is a matter of opinion, sir. This spot happened to be where I could get a fine scope of the other ponies and the architecture behind them. 

Bright Mane stood, raising to her full height and frowning down at Ryo and Kai.

Well, no use arguing over it, now, you've already ended my sketching, might as well make yourself aquainted with me. Otherwise it was just a waste of both our time.

Bright Mane nodded and produced a hoof. Bright Mane.

"Well my apology about ruining your thought I can say it was not my intention I'm Dr Kai Swift a pleasure to make your acquaintance" Kai produces his hoof also

"Umm yea sorry, I'm Ryo Disk its good to meet you"

"though I must say I was not expecting to meet an artist in a place such as this, well at least one of decent calibre"

I would come to these places more often, if I got the choice. These places are a bustle of pony activity. . . one can learn alot here. It's a fine point for . . . Bright Mane stopped and scoffed again. Talking to you like you care about these things, well, let's get back on track, shall we? I'm here because my mentor and instructor; his assistant Right Hoof; and I, became stranded without a room and there isn't anyplace suitable to camp out with that storm raging outside.

Bright Mane popped her shoulders

Well, we are aquainted now. So how about you two tell me YOUR story, why are you here?

"Thought it was time for a break things were getting stressful back at canterlot and card games are a good way to unwind expectably elements ooh that one can be fun but addicting "
*sigh* "I couldn't let this guy running around on his own he would get himself in trouble, no doubt helping where he shouldn't"

"hey Kai you do the same thing"
"yes but im a Doctor thats my job"
"excuses"

  Bright mane looked between them. So . . . you two . . . You are a doctor and you are something else, whatever. . .

  A Stallion stumbled down the stairs, hair a-wreck, unsteady and his fine clothes undid and hanging loosely about him. He pushed through the group.

Then after a moment he stopped and looked back.

K-KAI? Tha- you?

The pony stumbled towards the doctor.

"Yes Sir I am Kai" Kai looks at the wreck of a pony assesing him to work out who he is assuming its

Well s- me? Yeh s- me! Bh-erry, Bh-erry Bitter-s.

The pony clutched onto Kai's coat, using him to keep himself standing.

K-K-Kai, you c-houldn't be here, it-sa bad place.

Kai's face turns serious and he glances at Ryo for a second

"Right" Ryo takes out a card from a small saddle bag and starts muttering as a small seal appears beneath hoof  and around the four"Shadow word hidden"

"now calm down berry I'm here, please explain carefully what's going on, and don't worry you can't be harmed here"

Bright Mane bucked, as Ryo began his magic.

What are you DOING!?

"we just need some quiet time miss your free to leave if you want, but some chats should be held in private, you just happened to be in my radius of magic, so ponys perception of you is obscured, in other words in here your invisible basically"

Ryo's face changed from his usual smile to a glare and acting more serious than his appearance looks

Bright Mane scoffed again. Convinent to have this magic at hoof, isn't it? Either way I was using this spot before you two came and interuptted me, I plan on using it to its full affect. Maybe I can even help your friend there, he looks like he could use all the help he can get

Berry wasn't looking well, his face had turned green, from it's usual blue and he was swaying.

"And what of matters with... the Family?"

The fat pony scowled.  "As usual.  We give them favors, they don't bother us.  It's a bad world out there, Lord Fancy, with scary ponies.  But you know that more than anypony else around here."

He took a long sip of the blue special, then wiped his mouth somewhat crudely.  "Enough about me in any case.  How have you been?  Haven't seen you since... two years ago, was it?  Before that war over in Bhairata got spice prices shooting into the sky like so many fireworks.  Who was that old kook you went off with, some Green Strokes or another?"

"A good friend, and a great pony.  Though, his philosophies are somewhat... extreme."

"So I've heard.  Probably wouldn't like this place, eh!" laughed the fat stallion.  "But you know what they say, it's nothing personal, it's just good business."

"Yes..."

"Heh.  I thought you'd say that.  And I'm proud for you.  Glad you've managed to keep some of that pony-ness about you.  Me, I'm too far gone to ever come back."

"Oh, don't say that..."

The stallion just laughed.  "You know it's true!  My heart's as black as night and hard as stone.  But it's only to be expected in this line of work.  You're lucky, old partner."

Suddenly, the fat pony no longer looked so magnificent, nor so happy and content.  He looked almost frail and old, worn and haggard from year upon year of losing pieces of his soul to his horrifying work.

"At least you're still yourself.  At least you're still your own."

"this isn't good, I don't have much to hoof" Kai mumbles to himself
Kai checks his temperature and takes a small machine out of his pocket


"Just relax Berry now this is a mana detector it finds and removes samples of negative mana but it wont hurt I promise, just keep talking to me"

Frostberry finishs her drink. She heard that some rich ponies from canterlot arrived at the casino."Thats my chance to get famous." She mumbles and walks up to the stage. She takes a deep breath and starts to play a song.

Talk? T-Talk huh? You wan- me ta talk? Na-pony has want-a me to talk, in for-ever.

Berry sat down.

I-I wah do you wanna . . . wanna know?

Kai sighs for a moment "fist diagnosis intoxication" Kai rumages in his pocket and takes out a sweet "here suck on this it has an after effect to remove bio ethanal aka booze from your system"
