How do I set my avatar?

Second welcome to the forums and to LoE Partypoison

and third if you go on to forum profile and put in the url of the image such as

http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2012/192/f/c/ryo_d_disk_by_dragonmasteralex_by_ryodisk-d56t6m3.png

for example then save it will post your avitar image hope this helps if you need to find the url just right click the image and open the propertys it will be in there

welcome!   I do hope you can stay around on the forums even after the game.  Do you roleplay?

I havent roleplayed no but will give it a go if asked to join in, i dunno how u do it

It's quite simple, really!  Just create and Original Character (OC) to use as an in-roleplay personality, then begin interacting appropriately with other Player Characters (PCs) in the game.  For sign-ups, fill out a little form to let the Game Master (GM) know a little about your character, and then as soon as they allow you to go in you can start Role-Playing (RPing)   Make sure to say anything "normal" or "Out Of Character" (OOC) in the OOC pages, which are usually provided.

Feel free to stop on by Pony Cosmology, Royal Academy of Magic, Life in Ponyville or any of the other RPs and check it out!  Just make sure to sign up if it says "Sign Up" in the title   I'm GM of the first two, so if you try those out I'll be happy to help you along
