The Wandering Magus

Well, in that case, I guess I'll write
The riddle first for you to bite.
I hope it is not hard for you,
Though it may be, that much is true.

A thousand fingers touch the sky,
A thousand fingers, but no eye.
When I fall, I live no more.
My arms are table, roof and door.

What hair I have is gone in cold;
Yet when I have it I am bold.
Great strength I have, yet eat I naught.
Who might I be, the riddle sought?

This answer, I think I got it...
From your riddle, I think I caught it.
Is it a tree, oh mighty tree?
Just like those in the Everfree? ^-^

Alternative version. :P

This answer, I think I got it...
From your riddle, I think I caught it.
Is it a Fluttertree, oh mighty Fluttertree?
Just like those in the Everfree? lol
Purr~

The Wandering Magus

Correct you are, my goodly friend! lol
A tree it is,  which rocks can rend,
Yet drinks but water, eats but air,
With leaves of fairest green for hair.

Now then, which of you has a rhyme
To riddle us in perfect time?
I look quite forward to a test
Of clever wit and thinking best!

Its the bees
Knees

Lol I suck at this
At least I'm at bliss

Lulz
My suitcase full of bees should put a stop to this!!

The Wandering Magus

It seems that none would seek to try
To riddle us with riddles sly.
Perhaps I might another ask
For all to guess and find the task?

to think of a riddle I'm trying my best
But this is a really hard test.
Even though I'm doing rhymes just fine
I can't create something to challenge your mind.
So, please, do another one
because I really loved the one you've done!

Answer me this, my little ponies, and try hard not to miss:
A box without hinges, key or lid--yet golden treasure inside is hid.

Within me golden treasures lie;
And thieves my whitewashed walls defy.
Yet I am found in humble farm,
And with me, strong is leg and arm!

Where I am found, loud trumpets cry,
Yet here within it is not dry.
When fire comes, a fragrant smell!
Who might I be, could you pray tell?
[/quote]

Although something that throws me off
Egg it may not be, should I doff
It off my list of plausible replies
So now my thoughts I do revise

A 'box' is usually not too round
I, PPBG, you confound
Me with that short, simple word
Many times, it I have heard
My time here has measured much change, and I fear one of those changes might soon be my departure.

To copy an already existent post was my bad...
for that shortcoming I am quite sad.
'Twas a riddle of Lord of the Rings that came to my head,
and the answer was quite indeed an egg.

I'll give something more original, that I myself have made!

Spoiler: It is not a riddle for the weak of heart;
It tells of death, destruction, and souls which do depart! •
show
Machines cut metal,                           and I they make.
Warriors see me and tremble;           many of their lives I take.
My eyes can see them in the dark,    their walls fall before my mere shout.
I relentlessly leave my mark,             sending flame and member about.
The earth itself shakes                      beneath my heavy tread;
I leave in my path                              a wake of many dead.
Though I am not living,                      I contain three hearts
Whose selves they are giving           so their friends shall not depart.
What am I?

ArtVeigar

To me, it seems the answer is a missile, a bomb
A mass destruction weapon to bring people to the tomb.
But, if so, there is something bothering me:
What would this three hearts happen to be?

Three hearts, what's this I hear?
Preventing me from finding the answer I fear...
I was to mention a blade, or perhaps something blunt,
But thinking about it... Could it be a gun?

No, no, it doesn't feel right...
This sounds far greater in might...

It seems to me that clueless am I... o.O
Purr~

Bravo 658

You seem to misinterpret my riddle;
my family found it quite simple.

You fail to read the fact
that dead are left in its tracks.
It does not annihilate itself upon its foes;
it attacks with shouts, and then on it goes.

The Wandering Magus

A tank it seems, whose mighty shout
May blow a fortress wall right out,
Whose iron hooves can crush a car
And leave a blasted, cratered scar.

Three hearts of folded steel it has,
Three hearts to pump the air and gas.
With mirthless eyes that pierce the night,
Its very presence is a fright.

Bravo 658

Right you are, my friend;
it is a tank.
Destruction is its trend,
and its discretion is quite blank.

The hearts, however, you misunderstand--
they are the crew within, not the engine band.

The Wandering Magus

I see, good Bravo 539!
I thank you for your riddle-rhyme.
It was a challenge, that is true,
Yet I enjoyed a riddle new.

Now, shall I make another rhyme
Of riddles quick of wit sublime?
Or shall another use their words
To make a rhyme, as cheese from curds?

Chack

I suppose I'll give a go
To make your riddle wishes so.
Though don't expect it to be hard,
I'll try my best, in yard by yard.

Shows fear to none, and yet fears all
Towns have crumbled, cities fall.
Meant to love, but turns to hate.
What has become of their fate?
Before they realize what they've done,
Destroying others one by one
To get to what they think they need,
Consequences dire, indeed.
Is there hope for this vermin?
If so, they should look deep within.
Wait for it...

That is a very good poem Chack
But an answer I do lack
You may be better than you think
At making riddles in a blink

Difficult? That can't be right!
This was not in my foresight!
If the words you say are true,
I suppose I'll give a clue.

The answer's closer than you know,
In many numbers, to and fro.
They tower high, yet miniscule,
And they are smart, yet play the fool.
Wait for it...

I've been pondering, but wasn't certain to say it loud
Is it a human being you are talking about?
Something so complex in it's simplicity
And aways makes mistakes because of it's own humanity?
