Alchemy is like turning lead to gold. which is impossible using science alone. magic must be used. chemistry needs no magic.

From whai know about alchemy, its more like using magic without magic. Chemistry has the same disciplines as alchemy, alchemy is just a little more broad.

Well, i wouldn't say that it's impossible. Changing one matter into another (like lead into gold) is teoreticaly possible on the plain of quantum mechanics, its just undoable for us now. That doesn't mean that the scientists won't figure out how to do it in a couple of years, decades or centuries.
