Things in Pokemon games I'll never understand

How come all the nurses and officers look exactly the same and have the same exact name?

It made things kinda stupid in that first movie about Mewtwo.
Brock: *Looks at a missing poster of a Nurse Joy* She looks familiar.

[Edit]: Also, from what I saw of the anime for 5th gen, it made me sad what they did to Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny. Nurse Joy looks like a robot, and I thought Officer Jenny was a man at first.

In one of the episodes Misty says to Brock something about how they all look the same after he claims that one is more beautiful then the rest.  he comes back saying that each one has something that sets them apart from the rest.   Apparently only he can see the difference, but there is one ^^!

It's creepy how he knows this

Otherwise, I can't see Jenny as a guy.  She looks fine to me.

Her hair... When she first appeared, I didn't see her face at first, so I thought it was a man. And then she turned around, and I wondered why they colored this man's bottom lip. Then, she spoke, and I screamed "JENNY?! What did they do to you?!"

I couldn't stand much of the 5th gen anime especially after they changed the officers and nurse joy and changed all of Ash's friends, I usually only watch the early seasons nowadays.

(I also think the anime is way too long, though I still try and watch the new episodes now and then.  )

3.  If Pokemon like Walrin, Ryhyperior, Sea King, etc. are able to learn OH-KO moves, why don't they just team up and go take over the world?  I mean they're wild animals, they can kill anything in one hit!  Just go freeze every major city, stab every human, and stuff.  I mean, they humans have enslaved Pokemon and forced them to work for who knows how long!  There must be some though of retribution!  Their actions prove they are capable of communication on more than a basic level, so why haven't they come to the understanding that humans are evil, and thus, they must rebel!

Well, the attacks have a very low chance of hitting, so unless they have very good luck that's quite unlikely. The PP those moves have are also very little

Sonic's previous voice actor, Jason Griffith, now voice acts Cilan in the English version.

In all honesty, when I first heard his voice I couldn't recognise Sonic in it at all

Gin Ichimaru! Yeah, fox-face is very common in anime. That's when the character has squinty eyes like that. In fact, there's a mental illness that's only in Asian countries where a person will believe that they're really a fox spirit, and they end up squinting their eyes and making a fox face.

Not sure if this has been brought up or not, but it always bothered me how the fights in the game were nothing like the fights in the show. Obviously it was to make the show more entertaining while gameboy was limited, but it always irked me as a child that I couldn't tell my pokemon to flip all around, dodge everything, and attack like mad.

It would probably be fun if they made a pokemon spinoff with an action battle style Pokepark Wii had a small amount of live battles you could do, I kind of wish they would make one game with battles like this, while keeping status effects and the strategy of general Pokemon games.

Eeyup, I'm rewatching DeliciousCinnamon's Pokemon Vietnamese Crystal playthrough.

And it made me realize something. One of the NPCs, with poorly-translated dialogue, said something about the pokemon that they got from the professor being rare. Is that why the only place you can find the starters is in the professor's lab? Starters are rare pokemon?

If that's the case, Ash actually did something pretty good in the anime, considering he tends to get all three starters. If starters are so rare and he's able to get all of them, why is he such a failure at so much in his journeys?
