Chirp catches watch Strokes says. He doesn't lose Black Tongue out of his sight as he speaks to Strokes.
"Never in all your days? Seems your travels weren't that spectacular, then. It is fantastic that a kind mother is going to be leader, and that all clans will live in peace, but isn't there anything that comes close to this?"

Black Tongue looked on cooly at the mare hunter and ex-leader. A face of resignation set on his face.

((announcement: i will be active gm in the two week interim of GR's absence.  Many of you have played in my rps before, so you should be familiar with my gming style.  I am online from 2-3pm PST each weekday, 2-5pm PST each weekend.  Use google to convert to your local time.  I will also be taking over gr's characters and all npcs, and possibly delegating roles as assistant gm to other players who have shown significant rp experience, maturity, etc.  I hope to see you all for three hours tomorrow.  Cheers! ))

"That we shall find out!  Although, I think I have an idea already!" said Strokes with a twinkle in his eye.

All his apprentices and helpers simply facehoofed in unison.

"Yes," smiled Abhainn quietly.  "But as I said, it is not my victory, nor my celebration, but the clan's."

The time for the celebration feast was drawing near, and in the Great Hall, bards were already tuning their lutes and various artisans were setting up tables and chairs.  All about the village ponies, bears and deer were cooking various dishes, some familiar to the Equestrians, some entirely unique to the Wilds.  Cheese-stuffed peppers and mushrooms, lentil soups, various stews, turnip cakes, colcannon, crumbles, scones, puddings, and all sorts of other foods were being prepared and laid out!

The smell of food and some strange sort of honey-water drink they called "Mead" permeated the entire village as the Forest Gentry began lighting candles and lanterns.

Abhainn smiled, saying, "All are welcome to join me in the celebration, although of course, I am sure that seats will fill up quickly."

"Leader!"

A stag leaped across the village from the Great Hall to Abhainn, a note tucked in his horns.  Pulling it out, he bows and gives it to the bear.

"Laoch clan Deer and the Crone of Clan Beanna request an audience with you before the celebration begins."

Abhainn read the note, and sighed, giving Teal an embarrassed smile.

"I'm afraid I might have to leave you for a bit," she said.  "Politics and all.  I hope you don't mind..."

"Thank you..." smiled Abhainn as she was ushered away to the Great Hall by the stag messenger.

Teal could see a doe missing a hat walking about, having finally finished bringing in the harvest.

"Ah!" exclaimed the doe at the sight of the hat.  "Indeed it is, and thank you very much!  It was my mother's when she was but a fawn herself," she said with a slight blush.

"Indeed," said the doe, slightly embarrassed.  After a moment, she rubbed the back of her neck with a hoof, and admitted, "I do not believe we have ever been formally introduced, and I apologize, aoi onórach.  I am called Gothaí Fianna clan Hunter.  It would be an honor to know what you are called."
