OMG!! O:  Your art style is super cute! I love it soooo much! How do you draw that good! Teach me your ways... ;)
MRAAAAH! Nom...ovO

Pumpkin Glow

Uh, thank you.  ^-^
It's honestly a pretty unrefined process in my case and there is always way too much sketch constructing going on.  X3

What helps me greatly is looking at pony drawing tutorials in picture form cause I can just have them open beside my drawing program (https://www.gimp.org have been using it since 2005, it's also free) and reference them when needed i.o. to get the basics of what I want into the pre sketch.

A work in progress, so Holly can have a pocket me.  <3 <3 ^-^

Complete repaint of "umbrella hat Twili". Witch hat sculpted by myself.

Will post progress when it happens...  ^-^

mini pumpkin is turning out really well !!! :D she looks super cute !! making me want to do one as well !!

the hat is really a superb sculpt. what kind of materials are you using to customize ?

Pumpkin Glow

For the hat I used green stuff, a two component sculpting putty, which keeps a bit of elasticity even after hardening. I figured that would be a good idea on a rubber pony.  ^-^

For paints I am using "Game Color" acrylic paints, cause acrylics also dry with some elasticity to them.

And once I am done I will seal the whole pony with acrylic brush on satin varnish.  ^-^

Brush is a natural bristle 3/0 model brush.

The little handle is just an old paint pot with some blu tack on top. I will have to paint the small areas on her hooves, after I am done with the rest, but that isn't too bad.

It's handy to have all the miniature painting stuff from painting rpg minis around. I didn't have to buy anything.

This is the first pony I repaint tho, so very exiting!  ^-^

I don't really worry about freehand drawing the cutie mark, but the eyes will be interesting, if I decide to actually draw open eyes and not be cheap and just go with the "closed happy" ones.  X3

and the body/hair paint is so smooth !!!

Pumpkin Glow

The trick with model acrylics is to apply multiple, thin layers with slightly watered down paint. It will reduce the visible brush strokes and give a more even finish.  ^-^

It's the first pony I repaint. I have been waaay too chicken to try before.  X3

Now that I have a bit more time again I might actually make progress/ finish her soon.

Tho maybe not with the crazy temperatures here atm, my painting lamp already gets kinda warm just by itself.  :I

Will see!  ^-^

Only the cutie mark left to do.  ^-^ (And fixing the bit of unpainted hooves, as well as a tiny speck of green on the right cheek.  X3 )

And as a tip: When painting yellow always prime that area with white first and expect a lot of yellow paint layers, until it looks right. Cause yellow is one of the worst covering paints and also the actual devil.

(Trashy nail polish bonus fingers...  X3 )

looks awesome !! cant wait to see when its totally done !!

Pumpkin Glow

I am currently trying to muster up the courage to do the cutie mark. Even tho mine is really just kind of an orange blotch with some lines in and a bit of green on top.  X3
