I'd better start getting ready for dinner with the royal family. He flies to the ground and starts walking back to his house.

Dark Hooves leaves a note for the mare following him. "It says I'll get back with you later."

He teleports home and gets ready for dinner with the royal family. He takes the invite with him and boards the train bound for Canterlot castle. A few hours pass which the train arrives at the station in Canterlot. He makes his way towards the castle.

Royal Guard: Halt! What business you have here?

Celestia: Stand down I invited him.

Royal Guard: Yes your Highness.

Celestia: Come, supper is waiting.

Thanks for inviting me your Highness.

Celestia: You're very much welcome, there isn't any need for formalities. Just be yourself.

Alright then.

Celestia leads him to the banquet hall.

Luna gives her sister a stern look.

Cadence and Shining Armor talk to each other not minding Luna's sour attitude. Their daughter tends to the Crystal Empire in their stead.

Celestia: I reserved you a seat.

After looking at the empty seat. It is with great honor and appreciation I accept sitting next to you. He allows Celestia to sit before taking his seat receiving applause from the other royals except for Luna.

Black Night: Luna you be respectful to you sister and her guest.

Luna: Yes Father. (She gives a polite applause)

Sun Burn: I'm happy you found a friend Tia.

Celestia: Please Mom, not in front of him.

Tia?

Celestia: That's my nickname from my foalhood. (She blushes.)

I think it is a good nickname.

Celestia: Really? Uhm, thanks Dark Hooves. (She blushes more intensely.)

I'm Dark Hooves, nice too meet the both of you.

Black Night: Likewise.

Sun Burn: Nice meeting you too, any chance you're going to be our loving Tia's very special sompony?

Celestia: MOM!!!!!!!! (Her face turns full red from embarrassment.)

Luna laughs historically until her father zips her lips using his magic.

If Princess Celestial wishes it, I will honor her decision with the best of my ability.

Black Night: A good answer, I see why she holds you with such high regard.

Black Night: That is fine sir.

Before Celestia is embarrassed further by her mother the food arrives to the banquet table per Celestia's command. Dark Hooves and the royal family begin eating. Celestia's face is still slightly red.

Black Night: Long time Zion, come join us.

Sun Burn: Nice seeing you again Zion. Everything is going swell.

Luna finishes her food and excuses herself from the table.

Celestia wipes her face clean with a damp towel.

Cadance and Shining Armor bid their farewells and proceed to exit the castle.

Celestia: I'm sorry about my mother, she can be rather forward at times.

You seem to share that trait. He laughs lightly showing the invite.

Celestia: I guess I do. (She laughs at herself.) Lets head to the main hall. (She leads the way.)

Alright then. He follows Celestia.

What?! He asks in complete surprise. Is it true?

It dawns on him. I think i know what the meaning of my existence. To be your very special somepony and someday your husband.

Celestial is awestruck.

Princess Celestia. Do you accept me as your very special somepony? He goes down to one knee holding a ring.

Celestia: Yes, yes I do accept you as my very special somepony. (She bows her head.)

Dark Hooves bestows the ring onto her horn, the center stone shimmering brightly.

Celestial stands up with tears of joy streaming down her face.

The meaning of my existence is to bring happiness to the pony who needs it most. That pony is you.

Marble : nice try...*she sniffs the note* Celestia huh? your not going anywhere...*she teleports to the castle entrance but the guards stop her*

Celestia: I hope everything is going to be fine. (She starts wiping her eyes while sniffling)

Luna enters seeing that her sister had been crying.

Luna: How dare you harm my sister! (She charges at Dark Hooves.)

He senses Luna and does a quick loop. Its not what you think!

Luna: Enlighten me!

Celestia: He asked me if he could be my very special somepony and proposed to me. I accepted.

Luna stammers incoherently then faints.

Celestial: She'll be fine, she did this when she found out about our niece getting married.

Celestial opens a wing invitingly to Dark Hooves. He obliges getting close to her.  Celestia wraps her wing around him nuzzling Dark Hooves. He hesitates slightly before nuzzling her back.

Cadance and Shining Armor exit the castle and see Marble.

Cadance: Hello there Marble.

Shining Armor: Let Marble go sirs.

The royals guards stand down and return to their posts.
