I've been trying to wake up for all my lives... Pray that you never end up in my position.
And with that, the voice faded away. Wait... Lives? As in, more than one?
Oh, signature? Well, mine's G.I, no Joe at the end. Wait, that's not how this signature thingy works, is it?
Ah well, it's not like anyone pays any actual attention to these things; I'm sure it'll be fine.

*Stormie let Sunset go when they were back in the forest*
Stormie what was that?
That Pegasus next to Celestia.
So?
He felt as if he could hold a lot of power.
I still don't get it.
I think that he could sense us. No matter where we are.
Well yeah. How else could he have known we were there while we were fuzed and concealed?

SCIENCE!!

Dark Hooves

\\dark hooves is an alicorn, he was born as one, but not the same as the princesses, I've had many rps, some of which developed my oc dark hooves up to this point.  He only recently acquired immortality through the complete transmutation from the two god spirits that dwelled inside of him. Sort of a phoenix being reborn from the ashes.

Luckily, I enchanted the ring. My magic sense can find it.

Celestia: Lets just teleport to it.

It's not that simple, I also sense a bunch of scrambled mana that prevents anypony teleporting to it.

Celestia: I think our love is strong enough to overwhelm the scrambled mana.

How?

Celestia: Remember the stained glass depicting the victory over the changelings.

I get it.

Celestia and Dark Hooves move closer together, face to face. He keeps his mana sense going. Their horns touch creating a strong surge of magic. They use this to break through the scrambled mana and teleport to the ring. Celestia grabs it and they teleport back. Still touching horns they expect the thief to appear.

It was really odd, what happened to the ring after they'd returned. One moment, it was in their possession, and the next, it wasn't. It just vanished.
No fanfare or visuals, it was just gone in an instant, taken by an "unknown" force. And the magic that could be felt in the process... It wasn't just scrambled. It was downright chaotic!

I don't think you quite understand the powers at work, here...

For the brief moment they'd stayed to try and grab the ring, they saw nothing, save for a seemingly endless sea of stars as they found themselves in outer space, far from the planet itself, with the ring simply floating around.

And now it was gone. Again.

The longer these two had anything to do with Prince, things just seemed to get weirder and weirder... Just what was his deal?
You know what, though? I'll throw you a bone... Go to the castle of the two sisters. At least one of you knows what I'm talking about. I've left you a little present, there. Perhaps it will explain some things...
Oh, signature? Well, mine's G.I, no Joe at the end. Wait, that's not how this signature thingy works, is it?
Ah well, it's not like anyone pays any actual attention to these things; I'm sure it'll be fine.

They teleport to the castle of the two sisters and look around.

It really didn't take much looking at all. Right on the ground was a dark purple tome, glowing with a soft yellow light.
This was clearly the "present". But what about it was so important that Prince would leave it here to be found?
Oh, signature? Well, mine's G.I, no Joe at the end. Wait, that's not how this signature thingy works, is it?

\\fine with me, you may control Luna, although Marble won't like that you took Luna before she made her decision on whether to accept or decline marble's offer

Dark Hooves opens the tome.

Luna: Well I guess that is that. (She goes back to walking around inside the castle.)

Written in the tome was what appeared to be a journal of some kind. It's condition was somewhat odd, though.
Some pages were ancient while others seemed like the ink was still fresh, in no discernible order.

On the first page was a name, though.

The journal you hold in your hooves/claws/whatever is the property of one roguishly handsome unicorn by the name of Grand Illusion.

If found in the possession of any other, it is clearly stolen or lost, and should be returned. (No reward, unfortunately.)

This was a very thick tome, though... It was going to take some time to read in it's entirety and figure out why Prince wanted it to be found.
Oh, signature? Well, mine's G.I, no Joe at the end. Wait, that's not how this signature thingy works, is it?

Dark Hooves

Celestia sits next to Dark Hooves, he drapes his right wing around her. She smiles.

They slowly read each page to make sure they don't miss anything.

The journal was much like any other unicorn's journal at first glance. This unicorn, Grand Illusion, was apparently one of two heirs to the Serégon family, a family full of lesser nobles, known for their proficiency in the magical arts.
Another name was dropped a few times, too. Spell-Breaker, often referred to as "Breaker". Didn't he work in the royal guard at one point?

Heh, Breaker's all excited to be working for the crown. I was always a fan of "Woona", myself. Yes, I realized that is not how it's spelled, I just couldn't help myself. Oh well. I haven't told him yet about what I plan to do, though. He'll probably try to toughen me up before I go, though.

Anyway, it seemed that Illusion had soon left his home not long after graduating from Celestia's school for gifted unicorns, in search of fame and fortune.

First week. Found myself in a sticky situation with some Diamond dogs near Ponyville. Turns out they can't stand loud noises; they had to let me go when they couldn't find a way to make the constant noise and complaints stop. Almost ecstatic to see me leave, actually. Not sure how to feel about that.

The next dozen or so pages told them of mixed results, but seeing a profit nonetheless as a traveling performer. However, it seemed that he had begun to write less and less as the pages went by, complaining constantly of what seemed to be a permanent headache, strange visions, and feelings of deja-vu, right to the point he could tell a pony's name just from looking at them...

It happened again, tonight... They're getting worse. This time was a bit different, though. I saw a dark grey batpony (vampony?) with red eyes, crying as she stood in front of what seemed to be some kind of rift. I... I don't know what to think of all this, and nopony I've gone to could find a way to help. I've considered going to the princesses, but they have better things to deal with than the migraine of some lesser noble. There was this one odd colt with an hour-glass mark that seemed to know something, but I haven't seen hide nor hair since...

It didn't take long for things to take a turn for the disturbing however. Not long after the complaints surfaced, some of the pages were soon discovered to be missing, torn out in a fit of rage.

[glow=red,2,300]Won't stop repeating everything just starts again over and over won't let me stop whywhywhywhy?! I can see them I can see all of them using as puppets playthings in some sick storybook...![/glow]

That was the very last legible page...
Oh, signature? Well, mine's G.I, no Joe at the end. Wait, that's not how this signature thingy works, is it?

Luna: We use the same shampoo, mine is a different scent.

******

Maybe your sister knows something.

Celestia: Lets go ask her.

They teleport to Canterlot castle with the tome with them.

Celestia: Sister, do you know a stallion named Grand Illusion?

Luna: Yes I did know him,  why you ask?

They give Luna the tome. Luna reads through it.

Luna: I knew both of them at one point, something happened to Grand Illusion when he found that bat pony. He started going insane. That rift mentioned is still open,  I cloaked it to prevent wanderers from finding it. Follow me.

Luna leads her sister and soon to be brother in law to the location of the rift?

Immediately once Luna started speaking of the unicorn, his journal caught fire for unknown reasons, burning anyone near it but somehow not being damaged at all.
Oh, "Woona"... You think you know what's going on, here, don't you? Your history is not his history, and saying otherwise is just an insult to his memory. I'm going to enjoy seeing the look on your faces when you find out what really happened to him...
Oh, signature? Well, mine's G.I, no Joe at the end. Wait, that's not how this signature thingy works, is it?
