Chibalt frowned as he couldn't reach the bottom without dipping almost the entire stick down, yup, that was too deep, the strength of the stream would hardly matter if one would be completely submerged, he did however have an idea. Hey, any unicorns here good with barrier spells? And I mean good enough to make something to walk over on!

(Just gonna assume it actually is too deep to cross by wading, anyways, making a bridge by creating a barrier should be a viable method of crossing, though it does rely on someone knowing the spell and having enough magic to keep it running for the time it takes to cross.)

(Also it's a running river being fed by a waterfall, so current is an issue.)

"A barrier spell, you say?" Quick Silver asked. She spoke casually, but a proud smirk played on her lips. "I might be able to conjure something like that up. But you'll have to move quickly when it's up, just in case it goes down early for any reason." she explained, stepping forwards.

Book sighed. It would be nice if her teleport actually worked properly for a change. Fortunately, she had other options; a water walking spell would do the trick. Her horn glowed as she started casting the spell.

"ok this is getting us nowhere*thinks* wait a barrier spell could work but what if we just froze the river and water fall " he looked around at the ponies to see there what there inputs where

And how much magic do you think is needed to freeze enough of the river to cross, the waterfall AND keep it from being pushed away by the water that will just keep coming? It's not exactly the subtlest of methods either. Chibalt responded, he wasn't a spellcaster himself, but he was pretty sure that freezing that much of the river, along with the waterfall too, would require quite a lot of mana.
