Everything seems to be in order for a while.
"Okay, final checks complete. All we need to do is switch her on." The earth pony said. "Initializing!"
The cables surrounding her detached one by one, and the android was lowered to the ground. A series of modem noises emanated from it and a server in the wall.
Suddenly, a red pop up box appears in your screen.

She tries to read it, but can't quite understand what it says. This was her job, so she was supposed to know what she was doing.... but she was also supposed to be new, "Apologies, but it seems something has gone wrong, I think I know what" She lies, "But so I wont make a mistake and, say, send this android on a murderous rampage, could I have someone explain what this means?"

"Erm..." The pegasus leans in. "That's..." Her eyes widen. "System boot failure! It needs a manual restart!" She nods at you. "Go ahead. Quickly!"

She wonders if the commands would be similar to her own, and so she inputs a command "REBOOT F", the f meaning force.

*MANUAL REBOOT REQUIRED*
The words flash up in red on your screen.
*PLEASE PRESS AND HOLD THE POWER BUTTON ON THE UNIT UNTIL THE LIGHT GOES OFF*

Oh, thats much more simple she though to herself. She slid out of her chair, and remembering this unit was dangerous, reactivated all combat protocols silently. She reaches it, then begins searching it for a button quickly.

You find it without much trouble. It's on her stomach, very near where your core transfer cable is. This does make it fairly hard to get at, so you lean in to reach it.
Its head turns. Its eyes open, blinking at you.
"LOADING MODULES.... STANDBY. END USER ACQUIRED. BIO-METRIC MAPPING, COMPLETE. VISUAL MAPPING, COMPLETE. FINAL SYSTEM CHECK IN PROGRESS. STANDBY." Its eyes closed again.

She backs up a little in surprise as it looks right at her, her hoof flincing back a little. But she regains her composure, shaking her head "Do I... just take my seat again?" she asks curiously.

"No, you brick the thing!" The pegasus yelled. "Were you even listening?! End user acquired! We need to scrap it, now!"

((Stormy, being an android, would know full well that the end user for a program is the owner. The android acquired an end user. It now thinks it has an owner. If it already chose an end user, they can't very well sell it.))

Bricking it...? But she was so curious about it, couldn't they possibly do something... "isn't there anything we can do? It seems a bit wasteful to get rid of an android just because it can't boot."

"We'll just wipe and re-load the A.I." The earth pony said. "Everyone here could see that this wasn't your fault. You're not going to be in any trouble for this."
The androids eyes flickered open again. They looked very realistic, a deep blue color, and very much not glowy. Looking into them, you could see the synthetic die tracts, but it was hard to tell. She stood up. She was an earth pony mare of normal height. Her head tilted slightly to the side.
"End user. What is your name?" Her voice was a playful cream.

She felt something in her chest, a feeling, it was very odd. She looked up at the mare who had just spoken nervously, then back at the android, "My name is Stormy Skies." she smiles, "What is your name?"

"I am ADOA-EAI-2.2.5. You may call me by whatever designation you wish, end user Stormy Skies." She pauses. "I have a list of fifteen thousand common earth pony names from the years 990 to 1030 on file, if you wish for suggestions."

((Yes, 2.2.5's text color is no color. It'll make things easier for me, and it's still a unique color!))

Another chest hit, she didn't know what this feeling was but it made her feel.. happy. She gives the android a genuine smile, "Your name? Well... how about.... Chestnut? Also, please just call me Stormy Skies, you do not have to say end user."

((Aw. I thought you were going to pull a Star Gazer 'What do you want to be called'! That really would have brought everything full circle.))
"Sorry, Stormy Skies. I did not wish to offend you." Chestnut said, looking at her apologetically. "I won't make the same mistake again." She paused. "What are your orders for me?"

"Okay, good. Tell her to go into shut-down so we can reset her and get some sleep finally." The earth pony said.

((Darn it, now I wish I did...)) She looks up at the mare, "One moment please." she looks back at the android, and into it's eyes. She could not describe this feeling she was feeling pounding at her chest over and over again, and it was driving her mad.... she looked back up at the mare, "No. I will not shut her down."

"You what?!" The mare said. "That's unacceptable. Either you do it, or we do it and you get fired."

She looks at the android, "Chestnut, I want you to ignore all other commads, force or not, unless they come from me." She stands infront of the android mare, "You will not touch her!"
