"No no, it's alright," Book Keeper answered Zappy. "Not every base has a library; we have one since our base is a training base."

[Teal Turken]

Oh, it makes sense to me now. he smiles towards her.

"Mhmm!" Book Keeper answered the young changeling, and continued walking.

[Teal Turken]

Zappy speeds up ahead to get to the library door, opening it up for Book Keeper and holding it for her.

Match Stick was inside the library and sitting at one of the tables, a pile of old and dusty tomes piled beside him. He is unaware of Book and Zappy's entrance, and seems well invested into his literature of choice.

[waaaaaaah]

"Why, thank you!" Book Keeper smiled at Zappy's chivalrous display. She patted him on the head, and walked into the library. The smell of musty old tomes and books reached her nose.

"Ah," she sighed. "It seems like it's been forever since I was last here."

LuBu waited for a few seconds then decided to open the door after Zappy and Book Keeper entered.

Zappy's ears folded down onto his head and he put on a goofy smile as Book Keeper patted his head. Once she walked inside, he followed her in. He noticed the smell instantly, as well as the cooler air.
What makes books smell like that? he asks.

[waaaaaaah]

"Mostly their chemical makeup,"  Book Keeper answered Zappy, leading him down one of the aisles. "Books exude smells because of their pages, ink, and adhesives, and the amount of time since their creation can end up changing the smell to something else."

They passed a shelf of books, and came across Match, who was sitting at a table, surrounded by a pile of old tomes.

"Hello, Match," she greeted him.

I didn't know there was so much that went into making books. They're so simple. he says as they walk together. Passing by the bookshelf, he sees Match and smiles.
Hello. he says after Book Keeper, giving a small wave of his hoof.

Match jolts to attention at the sudden appearance of somepony else, but he quickly looses tension and sits back down once he realizes who it was. "You guys startled me," he says, even though it went without saying.

"Sorry about that," Book Keeper answered Match. "Anyways, I'm here to teach Zappy how to read."

Match replies considerately to Book, "That's good. How are you holding up, after the training that is."

[Teal Turken]

Me? I'm doing okay, I don't feel tired like yesterday. I think that's just breakfast though.

[waaaaaaah]

"Pretty well," Book Keeper answered Match. "Though I used up a little more than half of my reserves with the protection spell I cast on myself and Zappy."

*checking a shelf*
"....Seems the dont have the genre I'm looking for"

"Then keep up the good work, cause their's barely a scratch on the both of ya," Match says with a supportive tone and smile.

She does a really good job protecting us. Zappy smiles, leaning a little closer to Book Keeper.

[waaaaaaah]

"Aww, thank you," Book Keeper gave the young changeling a quick hug.

*book falls on Lubu's head*
