Upon entering his room Match notices it's simplicity and lets out a *sigh* as he slumps onto the top bunk and quickly falls asleep.

[Maplewood]

" Lt Maple of the 6th defense squad" maple replied

[ElectricAura]

*Aura quickly stands straight and tall, and salutes* "Staff Sergeant Electric Aura of the 103d Airborne, Sir."

[Maplewood]

"Nice to meet you sergeant" maple smiled saluting back

[ElectricAura]

*Aura relaxed a little at Lt. Maplewood's smile.* "Phew, he's not as strict and uptight as some other high ranking officers." Aura thought. "Anything I can be of service to, Sir?" *Aura hoped he would have something, preferably with other ponies, until Wings got back.*

[Maplewood]

"Hmm now that I think about  could you fetch private match from his sleeping quarters I need to go get him suited up" maple asked

[ElectricAura]

"Right away, Sir." *Aura saluted again, and quickly took off, flying down the halls a bit faster then she probably should have.* "Let's see, Private Match's room should be... here!" *Aura knocked loudly on the door.* "Private Match! Lieutenant Maplewood requests your presence at once."

[Dark Hooves]

The underling spreads his unique wings at the starting position of the obstacle course. He takes off flying faster than most pegasi.

[ElectricAura]

*Aura knocked on the door again, but louder this time.* "PRIVATE MATCH, Lieutenant Maplewood requests your presence!"

[Dark Hooves]

He finishes the course and lands. Good old wings, I see why the pegasi love flying so much. He looks at the timer showing his time and the fastest time. He beat the fastest time by 5 seconds. Awesome! He shouts excitedly. He forgets to close his unique wings.

*Aura sighed and turned away from the door.* "New recruits, such lightweights." *Aura began flying back to the obstacle course in hopes the Lieutenant was still there.*

[Dark Hooves]

Rio stares at the timer admiring his time not noticing the mare flying towards him.

[ElectricAura]

*Aura saw a lone pony at the other end of the obstacle course, and went over to ask if they had seen the Lieutenant.*

A sharp crack split the air, and a cloud of smoke appeared in the middle of the obstacle course. A white mare in Royal Guard armor stumbled out of it, choking and gasping.

"Aw *cough* not again!," the mare groaned. "At least "wheeze" this time *gasp* I wasn't TOO off target..."

[ElectricAura]

*Aura jumped at the loud crack, and saw the puff of smoke that appeared in the middle of the obstacle course.* "What the hay?" *Suddenly a white mare in Royal Guard armor stumbled from the smoke. Quickly, Aura flew down to the distressed unicorn.* "Wow! Are you okay?"

[waaaaaaah]

*cough* "Yeah, I am. Thanks for asking," Book Keeper coughed again. "'Just focus intensely and you'll be fine', my flank," she muttered.

[ElectricAura]

*The smoke still thick in the air, Aura flapped her wings and cleared the smoke, giving the two some breathable air.* "Teleportation spell gone wrong?" *Aura folded her wings and studied the mare in front of her."

[waaaaaaah]

"Y-yeah," Book Keeper answered the pegasus sheepishly. "I seem to have major problems when teleporting - I'm always WAY off target. Usually by an order of a few hundred miles." Her ears drooped. "The company's head battlemage has been working with me to try to fix this. So far, I've managed to stay within ten miles of the base. I guess today I was lucky."

[ElectricAura]

"Hundred miles!? How do you get back here?" *Aura stood, mouth slightly open in shock.*

"Mostly walking. Sometimes if I'm lucky, there's a caravan about, and I hitch a ride with them. So I rarely teleport," Book Keeper answered with the same sheepish grin. "The head battlemage feels that being able to teleport is an important skill for any battlemage, so he's been trying to get me to improve."
