A tiny blue filly, struck ill with an unknown decease, finally awoke from what seemed like an eternal slumber. She yawned and stretched before sitting up, still having her eyes closed. Her mane a mess, as expected from somepony who slept for so long, and her fur seemed to be a bit more fluffy than usual. She yawned once more before attempting to open her eyes. First a bit, closing them quickly as he became blinded by the suns rays. After a few seconds of prolonged waiting she opened her eyes again, this time the suns light was far more gentle to her sight. She rubbed her eyes and looked around, confused from her surroundings. "H-Hello?" she called out nervously.

A burgundy pony wearing an old and beaten hat stood a few yards away. His eyes were wide with surprise, and his mouth was full of the mare's surviving supplies.

Maple had been working down in the lab trying to come up with a serum that could cure a headache

Azure Wave was walking through the desolate wastelands of Equestria. Water wasn't a problem, he had magic for that. Food, however, was typically hard to come by. Another problem was the incredibly bossy Changeling Queen he was accompanying.
"As soon as we find the next village, we stop and rest. Then we plan our next destination. Understand?"
Azure only nodded, as they both continued their trek.

Quick Silver walked warily along the darkened lands. Her eyes scanning the area as she moved, making sure she was safe at all times. The mare hoped she'd arrive somewhere she could grab some supplies, as she was running low on food, water and other items she may need.

[Grizzly]

Queen Nightshade and Azure kept walking, until the Changeling pulled both of them to the ground.
"Shh. Look there."
Quite far off in the distance, she spied Quick Silver.
"They could be dangerous. Wait for them to pass." She whispered.

[Grizzly]

The tiny blue filly cuddled cutely with Winter. "What happened?" she questioned, still a bit confused.

Quick Silver continued walking along, watching all around her. The unicorn stopped for a moment, levitating an almost empty bottle of water out of her bag and taking a few sips. She put it back quickly and began walking again. She thought she saw something in the distance, but brushed it off as just a bush or something of the sorts.

The Queen paused for a second, before realizng something.
"Wait, they could be on their way to a town...Here's the plan; we tail them until we reach a village or wherever it is they're headed. Then, you distract them while I check the village for food. Am I clear? You have permission to speak."
The blue stallion nodded. "Y-Yes, Your Highness."

Quick Silver continued on her way for a while. After a few minutes she noticed something in the distance. She stared ahead as shapes began forming into what looked like buildings. A spark of hope erupted inside her, causing the mare to speed up a little bit.
She began trotting, but slowed to a walk again as she walked up to the seemingly abandoned village.

The duo had tailed her to the city. As expected, it was completely wreaked.
"Okay, Azure. Go."
The Queen left to circle around, but not before shooting Azure with a light laser; it made him look like he'd been hurt.
Putting on a fake limp, he began to move towards Quill.
"Help! Somep-pony help!" He called out.

Quick Silver turned to face Azure. She noticed the limp, but stood her ground. "Are you okay?" she called, then realised how stupid that question was. 'Of course he's not okay, he's limping you silly mare.' she thought to herself. "What happened to you?" she called out quickly, watching him approach.
