Reginald followed behind gazing across the was wastelands chucking "Ah, it is good to venture into the unknown once more let this be a glorious venture for us all!"

[Snowcraft_Pony]

"Agreed." Moonlight replied.

Half an hour later the party arrived at a ruined village, stone walls, cobbled paths, and alot of dust being the only notable features. "Where in the goddesses name are we?"

[Maplewood]

" Does anypony know what this says?"asked maple pointing towards a sign he had just dusted off.

[mentalshock]

"Uh nope not me."

[ace nowson]

"hey i may be misking is that a timber wolf, nope its me mum.She is a wolf."

[Maplewood]

"Are you ok?" Asked maple with a look of confusion on his face.

[Snowcraft_Pony]

Moonlight took a look at the sign and blew the dust of it, causing it to fall to the ground. "Woah..." Moonlight exclaimed jumping backwards as it fell. When it hit the ground she went up and read it aloud. "Arrow'mere Inn. This is Arrow'mere Village?" she yelped in surprise.

[mentalshock]

"Or whats left of it anyways."

"It seams much is left in ruins. A pitty, I would have enjoyed a fine cup of cider"

[Snowcraft_Pony]

"This was my home..." Moonlight sobbed as she sat down and burst into tears.

[Maplewood]

"good god im so sorry" gasped maple as he tried to pick up the old sigh and place it back up

[Two tone]

Sat curled up under a tree is Ecco, a simple Bat Pony, although his wings are covered by a cloak, hiding them. He sleeps unaware of whats going on around but his ears are twitching towards sounds.

Moonlight just kept crying, ignoring the figure in the dead tree.

Ecco soon after stood up and grabbed his dufflebag, looking he spotted the band of ponies in the distance, he yawns before making his way over. As he reaches them he stops and takes a look around ""What is all this racket, ponies are trying to slee- He sees the crying mare before turning his chin up a little being defensive Whats the matter Miss? Is somepony bothering you?

reginald walks up to moonlight "my dear do not shed your tears, i know you have lost your home, so have many other ponies, it is a great tragedy to see what you called home and many would give up, but from the moment you decided to sand among the rubble i can see you have the will to press on, no many ponies would do the same."

Reginald walks over to the sign placing a hoof agents it, having his own deep thought for a moment "and what ever your reason for this adventure, let only the sorrow be a fuel for the blazing fire in your heart, and let no tears put out your fire within. it is the only way to achieve VICTORY!!" he shouts his last words

[Maplewood]

"Couldn't of said  it bettr myself" maple smiled as he finished but frowned when he heard a beeping coming from his hoof."whats this?" He asked with a look of confusion on his face

[Two tone]

Ecco looks over to the second pony and begins to calm down a little, relaxing. His attention turns to the surrounding areas "Your house? What happened to it, if I may ask?" He asks softly as he takes a small, almost finished boxes of tissues out of his bag "And what may a pony like yourselves be doing out here? He asks as he looks between them

"we are striding forth to an adventure my batty acquaintance"

[Two tone]

He looks at him oddly as he says "Batty" but just shrugs it off "Ah, to where? Or where ever the wind takes you?" He smiles slightly, clearly it's something he does little of "The names Ecco by the way"
