She takes a big bite out of it and nods, smiling at him "It makes my tongue feel good!" she looks at you with a happy, innocent look. She takes another bite, happily chewing away at the sandwich, noting how this sandwich was Tastey and she would want more in the future, "So, I will now tell you about myself." she puts down the sandwich, "So, here it is. I am an android from alternate universe sent here to learn about this soceity, the science of magic, and how we can use this magic in our own universe, and the best way for me to do this is to become apart of this society, by Glados's calculations." she picks up the sandwich and takes another bite.

"Okay. That is... what?" Star Gaze blinked. "Forgive me if that's... a bit much to take in in one breath. The android bit, I followed. You lost me at 'alternate universe'." he sighed. "Don't get me wrong, I'm sure all the information was there. But, you'll need to pass that by me a few more times. I got a bit caught up in the first revelation to follow the second. Or third. Or fourth."

((By the way, what's your timezone? Mine's GMT - 5. It just hit 12:30 AM here. Just want to know when we might have to stop. Also, love the correct use of 'universe' instead of 'dimension'. You have no idea how much it angers me when people confuse the two.))

She nods and finishes her sandwich, "I can understand that. Let us break it down. I am android, I was created with the purpose of infiltrating this society, and learning everything about it, including how magic works here, the science behind it. I was sent from a alternate universe, a universe that is similar to this one but has differences, with the mission described above. My "leader" is named Glados, I report all of the data I find here to her." she nods again. Thats all nice, but, how was she created...? "Also, I was made using science, since our universe has no magic naturally in it. I am also operated using science."

"Well, if you came here to learn about the science behind magic, you better be ready to preform the experiments yourself." he glanced down. "Unfortunately, most ponies don't seem to recognize that magic follows set, exact, scientific rules. There aren't really all that many of us who look at magic in that way. I'm one of the few, as it happens."

"I'm still not getting this alternate universe thing. The universe holds everything. That's why it's the UNI-verse. There's only one."

You realize that Star Gazer has never been introduced to the multiverse theory, at all. His world has likely not even discovered quantum mechanics yet, let alone gotten far enough to begin to see the signs of the multiple worlds interpretation.

She nods, "Of course. Everything in a universe has to have some sort of scientific explanation, even if it does stretch the rules of science, there will always be an explanation. And yes of course I will be doing a lot of experiments in magic... and it seems that this soceity hasn't discovered the multiverse theory? That there is not just one singular universe, but instead, multiple? However I can see how the ponies here havn't, they have probably been so dependent on using magic, science has taken a back seat as it were, yes?" She looks at you curiously.

"You could say that." Star Gazer said. "As a benchmark, we've just recently figured out that atoms are not solid objects, but instead have a tiny center surrounded by negatively charged particles. I don't know where that puts us, to your... universe. Still confusing, but, hey, even if I have no idea how other universes could exists, you apparently came from one, so they must. The theory changes to fit the data, not the other way. I'm not sure exactly how cool I am with 'infiltrating our society'. That sounds rather clandestine and, well, evil, for lack of a better word."

"I also can't accept that you are a simple android, either. Again, the theory must fit the data, not the other way round. You simply make too many mistakes. Think about it for a moment. If your purpose was simple infiltration, there is no reason you would have told me this. There is no way you telling me that you're stealing information from my world for some unknown purpose could possibly make me trust you more. You could have, should have, made up some story. Left out the whole 'universe' thing. It would have made you seem a lot less dangerous. Also, there's that whole 'equine-pony' thing. You started saying equine. You found out from me that it should be 'pony'. But you still trip up when talking! You haven't made a simple data replacement. You're learning naturally, and making mistakes along the way. Computers don't make mistakes. I don't know what you are, but it's not an android, that's for sure. You're far too pony for that."

"Last, but not least, you somehow broke your primary goal! Infiltration requires ponies to not know about you. Even if you had managed to say it in the most correct way, with the most correct story, being marked as different is directly counter to your goals! And, as I have previously pointed out, you've been leading me on from the beginning. You don't think directly logically, you make mistakes, and you break your directives. You can't possibly be a simple android."

"Oh.... I will have to get you some of our information on advanced physics back from my universe.. you will surely enjoy it, and you can be the one to introdce all these new theories to your ponies. Also some papers on the multiverse theory, which you will need other papers on quantum physics and such of you want to understand that fully. Also, I do not mean harm, we only wish to learn about this soceity, how it is similar and different, and how to use magic in our world to further our goals.... and yes, I have some "pony in me" so to speak.... But...  I... I am technically full android... you may find the process of how I was made disturbing." She gives you a cautious smile.

Star Gazer sighed. "I'm sorry. It's just... kind of hard to take anything somepony who is a self proclaimed infiltrator says at face value. Yet, from all I've seen of you, my heart tells me that you're not evil. You don't even rank as high as 'mean spirited'. And I don't care how many times you tell me your a 'full android'. You're not. The evidence shows it. Are you a scientist, or no?" he paused. "Is it at all possible that you might be running with some kind of program specifically meant to emulate normal pony function? That could explain why you act so, well, normal. Pony like. You might be literally a synthetic pony. If that's the case, it would explain the 'equine-pony' point, but not the other two. You really should not be able to deny your directives."

Star Gazer paused, waited a few seconds, and then smiled widely. "Not that that's at all a bad thing. You being more pony than you think is a plus. Don't worry. I like it better when my friends have free will, and emotions, and the like."

She looks down sadly, "I do have freewill and emotions, none of what I do is emulated. All of it is indeed real. Of course I do have some programs running that keep all that regulated, like make sure some emotions do not break and begin to loop-feed into themselves, and cause me to explode in a violent slaughtering rage over someone spilling my drink. However... the reason I am so advanced is because... well..." she looks up into your eyes, "Have you noticed a fellow female scientist of your community had disappeared, one that was powerul with magic? Glados, my leader, kidnapped her, knocked her out, and injected nanobots into her, that changed almost everything about her into a synthetic version. She also changed how she looked, to not raise suspicioun, and put on a random picture of lightning clouds on my flank and named me after it, so this.... "Cutie mark" is absoluteltly worthless and holds no meaning."

"Well, no, actually. As you can tell, I don't actually live in Ponyville. I didn't even know they had any scientists, other than myself when I visit, and, of course, Twilight Sparkle. I have a feeling that it wasn't her, though, because then you'd be facing her friends right about now. Or perhaps even Celestia herself. Still, that's... disturbing. I really don't like the sound of that." Star Gazer shuddered. He looked slightly ill. He tried to smile at you reassuringly. "Don't worry, I don't think any less of you. Heck, if I could somehow turn you back, I wouldn't. You're perfectly alive, just as much as she was. It wasn't right to kill her to put you in, but that wasn't your decision. It would be equally wrong to kick you out to bring her back. It's just the whole business. Murder is very rare here. Only one or two every decade. Forgive me if I have a bit of a weak stomach. It's not because I think you've done something wrong. The only one to blame here is Glados, whoever that Celestia-forsaken murderer is."

"Although, that does lead me to an unfortunate conclusion. If you deliver information back to her, then, no matter how much I trust you, I can't tell you anything I don't want her to know. And I don't want her to know anything."

She nods, "I understand how you would feel that way, but really she is not that bad of a person, in fact she is not a person at all. Technically speaking, she is a super A.I that runs the whole science facuilty an--" she is suddenly cut off as her eyes go to static, "::StormySkies.ai OFFLINE::" she just stands there midsentence, immobile, not working.

"Perfect!" Star Gazer leapt to his hooves. He looked at Stormy for a beat. "I'm sorry. But this is for your own good, in the long run." He said sadly. "I'll just have to hope you're okay."

Star Gazer began to circle around his home, quickly assembling a variety of scientific equipment. He cast a few spells on Stormy, put a few of the devices up to her. He checked the readouts, and scowled. "There's something here... but the signal is too weak." He paused.

"Risk-reward..." he muttered. He looked at Stormy. Stormy Skies was his friend. There was no risk too great.

"I hope this is not a bad decision." he took a notebook from the third shelf of his bookshelf, and began flipping through the pages. The entire plan was balanced on the assumption that Glados had initiated the shutdown. Given the specific time when the shut-down had occurred, it seemed likely. If she had, there would be some detectable signal. And if there was a signal, then you could jam it. He would find it, and he would free Stormy.

Star Gazer opened the notebook to the fifth page. There was a rune inscribed on the paper. He concentrated, his horn glowing, activating the rune. The smell of Ozone filled the air. His devices began to whir and hum.

Arcs of electricity began to come off Star Gazer, and he began to scream...

(( Yep. Don't worry about him being able to jam it for a while, though. Science is a very slow process. The most he'd be able to figure out this time around is wither or not he can detect the signal at all. It's going to be many, many more observations before he could figure out the wavelength, and even more to design something capable of jamming it.

I also specifically included the 'but the signal is too weak' part, just in case, you know, there's no signal at all. Star Gazer thinks that it's likely that Glados is in currently broadcasting to Stormy, but he's not omniscient. He makes mistakes. There might not be a signal at all.

And, in case you are wondering, the equipment is not invasive. He hasn't stuck any needles in her or anything.))

((Okay thanks for that because I was planning on doing something)) The signal that was connected to Stormy suddenly surged, just for a breif second, becoming noticably stronger before calming down again, "::REMOTE_CONNECTION_ESTABLISHED: Glados::" Stormy's eyes turned back on, but instead on there normal color, they had a red iris with a black center, and her voice was much different as well, "Oh, hello." she says calmly, despite him screaming in pain.

"HELLO!" Star Gazer shouted. "I ASSUME THAT I'M SPEAKING TO GLADOS NOW!" he turned to face her. "DON"T MIND ME! THE ELECTRICAL SHOCKS ARE NOT FATAL! DUE TO MY FREQUENT CLUSTER HEADACHES, I AM VERY USED TO OPERATING UNDER CONSIDERABLE PAIN!" he winced and buckled. "GAHH! THIS REALLY HURTS!"

((As an aside, Cluster Headaches are a real thing, which are classically known to be the most painful reoccurring medical condition. People who have them say that they pain is worse than anything they've ever felt, even when they've lost limbs, been shot, immersed in acid, or suffered third degree burns. Almost fifty percent of the sufferers commit suicide before the age of twenty-five.))

((Ah jeez that sounds horrible, having a headache so bad people off themselves just to stop the pain. I can't imagine that...) She nods, calmly walking over to him "Yes, you are talking to Glados right now, would you please stop this silly little experiment right now so we can talk, like scientists?" she smiles warmly at you, "Because I think you are letting your emotions cloud your judgement, something organics do a lot it seems. I will release Stormy after I am done, I just wish to chat with you."

((Yeah, I can't really imagine it, either. I thought my migraines were bad!)) Star Gazer's horn flashed, and the electricity stopped. He fell to his hooves, but recovered quickly.  "Phew. You would be surprised at how helpful a high pain tolerance is in my line of work." he took a deep breath. "What do you wish to discuss?"
