Well good job you HORRIBLE ponies  lol! Got me to click *new game* on the Skyrim menu. I think I'm about done with it for awhile again but still.  ovO

Spoiler: Spoilers for Dawnguard • show
I was watching my brother play and he got to the end of the main dawnguard questline as a member of the Dawnguard. He was fighting the final vampire boss and my bro was whooping the boss around like a rag doll on the hardest difficulty. The only thing that made the fight long was the boss teleports and the amount of health he has. He was an icy pin cushion by the time my brother had kill him. lol

I've been on and off with Skyrim Dawnguard, I'm trying to make it last instead of just doing the expansion all at once

Oi, all you people with 360s - how good is Dawnguard? I've heard a lot of conflicting stuff, including a lot of complaints - principally "vampires are running around randomly killing important NPCs" and "vampire lord form is really inconvenient". Is there enough cool new stuff to justify the cost, or should I wait for awhile and hope it becomes cheaper?

It's a slow starting expansion that gets better as you go further into it and you see how much is going down and where you travel to complete your goal. I would have to say the random vampire attacks are annoying, but they haven't killed any quest givers for me, they've just been a nuisance. I was just minding my own business in Whiterun and blacksmithing when I was suddenly attacked by 5 vampires. Right after that battle and finishing what I was doing, I was about to leave to continue the Dawnguard quest, only to find that I was infected with Vampirism,I had to go and cure myself at the closest Talos shrine.

What a pain since you would think that the vampire hunters would happen to have a way to prevent the spread of the disease.  >:O

Guys.. o_O Look at a chicken in-game. Then, look at a chicken egg, in-game. The eggs are huge, while the chickens are normal size. Madness, I say!

[Edit]: You know you're a desperate thief when you try to build a tower of baskets to hide behind, so the shop owner doesn't see you steal. By the way, why is it so difficult to put a basket on an NPC's head?

I don't know, everytime I try to pull it off, the basket goes flying off the store owners head :l

You know how sometimes, when you're near a city, there's a sign post with a bunch of signs pointing and names of cities and such on them? I think simply looking at those signs puts markers for those places on your map. My character hasn't even heard of Morthal, but it's marked on my map, and I saw a sign for it.

All nine capitals are marked on your map from the start of the game.

I haven't tried that yet... I really should. Easier to just sneak in at night, of course, but much less entertaining.

Ah. Explains it.

So, I just accidentally found a tunnel system under the prison in Whiterun. o_O I looked it up, and it's apparently the best way to escape, especially since there's a grate right behind the chest containing your stuff, so you can get your stuff back on the way out. It leads into the Guard Barracks, but they don't attack if you come up in there.

Though... it's probably best to enter from the Guard Barracks before you get arrested, so you can pull the lever to open a door you need to get through to even get to the ladder to the exit. The door has an Expert level lock.

I never did much risky illegal stuff, but I remember reading in the Shadowmarks book that there's a specific mark that denotes easy escape routes... I'm impressed that they actually implemented all that stuff.

Edit: Random question, but does anyone know of a good "make essential characters killable" mod? I looked at a few awhile ago, but IIRC they all had some issues.

Dunno.

Dude. There's an old woman in Whiterun who says "There's a rift here in Skyrim. It can't be fixed with magic nor the passing of time." She knew. She knew the whole time.

[Edit]: Random areas in my Whiterun map keep fogging back up! >:(
[Edit2]: I'm stealing and collecting books like a nutter. :P I plan on reading them, I totally do. I also need to find this one book that I found in my first save. Lost Legends, I think. Opening it starts a quest.

I never did crime (and get caught. I'm very, very careful about my crime) but apparently if you use the escape route, they shut it after that. Use it wisely.

Stupid thugs! I left no evidence, there was no way you could find out who did what where! NOW STOP ATTACKING ME WHEN I WANT TO PICKPOCKET BANDITS!

Man, tell me about it... that jerk Faendal sent three thugs after me for stealing a couple of things, and the guards did nothing to help me.

...So to get revenge, I snuck into his house at night and stole literally everything that wasn't nailed down.  0:)

Makes even less sense when you pickpocket a bandit...
And then kill all the bandits in a ten mile radius.

I went and killed Aela the Huntress in Whiterun because she noticed me pickpocketing her and next day I get a message from a courier saying I was in her will and gives me 200 gold
