"Uh...oh. That is really terrible.

Maple, are you okay? Besides being a colt again, do you feel strange?" Joy became even more concerned with Maple's comment. How much damage did he do?

"yeah I'm feeling fine just wanted ice cream" the last part he mumbled digging his hoof into the sand

"Maple, you almost called me dad. You're not okay. The hex has to be doing something. How old are you, Maple? Not right now, how old are you actually?" Joy asked, just to assess the extent of the alterations to Maple.

maple looked  around "well I was only 29 I think great now I can't remeber" maple held his hoof to his head as if trying to dig out the memory

"At least you didn't say, like, ten. Remember that, Maple, you're older than me. Okay? Remember that." Joy repeated himself, still worried for Maple's well being.

maple looked at joy and began to feel this prezzure build up inside of him "joy.....joy what's going on I'm scared" he asked tears starting to form in his eyes

"Maple, what's happening? Don't be scared, you'll be okay." Joystick regretted saying that, but he wanted to try to calm Maple.


"I'm gonna get some crazy payback on Rand, after this," he whispered.

"You'll be okay," he repeated himself. "Don't worry."

with out waiting maple hugged joy"please don't let him hurt me I'm.....so scared"

Joy let out a small noise of surprise upon the hug, and felt slightly uncomfortable. That feeling was not as prominent as the need to comfort his friend, however.

"It'll be okay," he said while returning the hug, not knowing if he was lying or not. "It's alright. You're gonna be okay, no one's gonna hurt you."

maple looked up at him "are you sure because  I can't get this feeling off that something bads going to happen"

"I'm sure," Joy lied through his teeth, attempting to give Maple some hope, and some for himself, too. "I wouldn't even dream of letting him hurting ya. I'll stick by you, okay? You're gonna be alright."

"OK then now what was it you wanted to tell me "

"It...it can wait until later, okay?" Joy felt that this was certainly not the time to bring up the fact that Rand had Maple's soul, and also that he had no idea how to get it back. Well... I know of a pony... no. Not in a million years. Sorry.

"Just remember who you are. Know what? We'll get ice cream, or what ever, and you can tell me a couple stories from the eventful life that there is no way you didn't have, and I'll tell you some of mine. Deal?"

"sounds good to me deal" maple stuck his hoof out

"Okay, deal." Joy met the hoof, making the promise to Maple. "Let's go."

((let's just skip)) maple sat there finishing off his icecream smiling from the taste of it

"Alright," Joy said, sitting in the chair he had slept in. He had not ordered himself any ice cream, having lost his appetite after the whole ordeal with Rand. "You want to start, or should I?"

"you should start" he smiled

[Rush of MLP]

Rush sat quietly nearby. He had not spoken since they had gotten back from the forest.

"Where do I even begin?" He paused and deliberated for a moment. "Hmm... oh! I think I got one, kinda recent though, last couple of years. Want to hear about the time I became a pirate?" Joystick propositioned, remembering Jolly Depth and his 'faithful' pirate's crew like it was just yesterday.
