rand just clapped"bravo good sir you fixed that simple hex, but there's only one thing you see this" as he said this he held up a  silver necklace which had a large sapphire attached to it which was pulsing

Rush raised an eyebrow at the necklace, but said nothing. There was some bad magic pouring off of it.

[Maplewood]

"oh come on nothing well that's disappointing, ok well ill explain" he began to float around "so there's more to my hexing then you can see, a kind of condition which must be met" he appeared next to rush"the more complex of a hex the big the condition, why turning you ear required nothing but what if i changed you age" at this he smiled giving  rush and joy a very sarcastic puzzled look

Joy became anxious, knowing the chances of something going horribly wrong with evil artifacts around this beach.

Like he did with Maple... Joy thought, no longer as cocky as he was the moment before.

Rush raised an eyebrow.

[Color=gray]"But a hex is a hex: an evil thing that is easily undone with the right tools."[/color] He said calmly. [Color=gray]"And I have the tools to counter your hexes at will. So by this point, unless you have some sort of trump card, we are at a stalemate."[/color]

He sighed and sat down. [Color=gray]"Do you want to play? Well get your game on, let's play."[/color]

"something that big could require a lot like maybe i don't know....the soul of a pony" he chuckled placing the necklace away

"Does that mean...you can't be implying what I think you are, right?" Joy said, concerned for Maple. "You are, aren't you?"

"give the man a award correct and now that you know its time for me to say goodbye" with that he disappeared into smoke

Rush frowned.

[Color=gray]"I really hate reality warpers."[/color] He said, looking at Joy. [Color=gray]"So, what now?"[/color]

"Dangit. We have to get back to Maple. That's a high priority." Joy was unsure of the intentions of Rand, but if he was anything like Joy thought the Card-Mare to be, Maple was in trouble.

[Rush of MLP]

Rush nodded and stood up.

[Color=gray]"Let's go, then."[/color] He said, moving quickly in the direction they had come.

Joy followed, taking urgent and careless steps. "Starting to agree with you there. I'm glad he moved in after I moved out."

maple sat on the porch starting to get worried "where are they ?"

Joy continued to run back towards the beach, though staying with Rush, concerned for Maple still. The duo eventually broke through the treeline, Joy headed straight for Maple.

"Maple!" he shouted across the sands. "Come here!"

Rush hesitated at the treeline, looking over the beach to make sure no danger lurked ahead.

maple jumped up "hey you guys are back" he smiled

"Maple, we gotta talk. Rand is a psychopath. He told us the extent of his hexes, and a little of how they work. Let's go back to the inn room, somewhere where it's a little more private. Open invitation to you, too, Rush!" Joy did not want to put the new development bluntly. Maple had been a wreck for the past couple of days just because he had been turned into a colt. He needed to put it gently, and in a delicate manner, for risk of breaking the poor colt's spirit.

maple looked very confused "well ok but how come you got your voice back but I'm still a colt "

"I'll explain, trust me." If Maple was paying attention to Joystick's tone, he could hear the worry evident in his voice.
