It might not be my favorite game but it's way up there, in the top 5 maybe.Quote from: Cormac117 on 2014 Oct 11, 02:09:49Quote from: Julius on 2014 Oct 10, 21:42:18Quote from: Chack on 2014 Oct 10, 21:34:09Quote from: Ramisha on 2014 Oct 10, 03:13:34
Do you like RPGs? You could try some if you haven's already e.g. Final Fantasy, The Elder Scrolls, Nier, something else?
Eh.. I dunno. I tried playing Skyrim, but couldn't get into it. I haven't played any Final Fantasy, but I wouldn't know where to start.
Start with XIII, it's where I started.
Then I suggest you play XIII-2, XIII-3 and the rest in any order (Keep in mind X has a second game too, X-2)!
I have yet to play IV, X-2 and XII... But I have finished all the other Final Fantasies in the main series so I definitely recommend XIII to start.
Waaaaaait!? You actually like the 13 trilogy! Me too! It gets way too much hate.
XIII Is actually my favorite game ever!

That's probably why, then: usually you'd want to complete Hard Challenge Doors or defeat the boss(-like) enemies using equipped Powers. I highly recommend bringing:
- Meteor Shower (I forgot the name) or anything with a wide area range/length that can be used at least three times per run
- Hammer that can be used at least once
- Brief Invincibility that can be used at least twice (to prevent something from backfiring when going after Hard Challenges/tough enemies)
- Health Recovery (optional, but it'll help you stay alive; there are 50%- and 100%-damage recovery variants)
Also, try to find areas where you have to defeat a certain number of enemies within a certain time limit (outside of Challenge Doors). Not only will you get Patches from the enemies you defeat, but clearing said areas will also net you a huge Patch or two. Finally, look out for the x2 Patch. For as long as it's active, every Patch you get will... well... double.

Shulk is way OP when the Monado Arts are used strategically. Because he's already really good without using them at all. Now when you use them well you can beat just about anyone.
how do you change arts? Every time I try it gives me Jump...

What I do is I change to Buster as soon as the ten seconds begin, forward smash with a bit of charge, get the bat and throw it towards the bag, dash attack then immediately up smash once with a bit of charge, and then a second time with more charge. Then I switch to Smash, position myself and hit the bag with the tip of the bat!
It's a really tight on time strategy... But it works!
I have the replay saved, I'll see about uploading it later somewhere if I don't forget to.
