If I did live in Poke'mon universe... I'd want to have a Mew (yea, good luckBut I always have one in the games and I tend to hoard them because it's been my favorite for awhile), Flygon, and Raichu. At least those three. I have more fav.'s, but those would be the one's in my party.
MLP: I'm a definite Pegasus.

Applebloom being a carpenter makes sense, but I always liked the idea of the ponies in the Apple family having apple related cutie marks. So I think it'd be nice if it was a hammer in front of an apple or something.
Sweetie Belle, music related of course. Music note is the most common answer.
It's true that Scootaloo had some good dancing moves. In my own headcanon she eventually flies and is able to control thunder clouds with ease, but that's my headcanon with nothing canon at all
Though if we follow canon, I think it's more likely her cutie mark would have something about her scooter in it. She seems more into that.
You made me think of the short story Dr.Wolf read ... 'The Mill'?
Yea, Apple Bloom would probably be some sort of construction related thing. Honestly, it's like I keep forgetting about that XD Everytime... I get:
Sweetie Belle- Singing (Matches her name...)
Scootaloo- Scooters (Matchers her name as well...)
Apple Bloom- .... Blooming... apples?
It's just... it's weird![]()
Yea, construction and building or something.... I mean... I could see how her name could connect to that but it seems like a real stretch.
I'd say that Apple Bloom will take care of the barn/house and fixing it up when it needs it. The children of Big Mac and Applejack will take care of the farm and Applejack will be like Granny Smith. As for her two best friends, they both make sense although Scootaloo hopefully will learn to fly. I'd like that to happen since she basically worships Rainbow Dash as her idol.
I actually kinda like Scootaloo as a handicap. I don't think I've ever seen a show treat it so casually, which is nice.
It hasn't really been made canon yet, though. She might learn to fly or she might not. Actually, an episode with her dealing with a disability would be very emotional and touching. Just a idea for a Season 5 episode maybe!
... Yes. That is a season 5 ep hope... and it has been for season 4 but it wasn't really hinted at at all prior to season 4. Of course, she could still only be late. I mean, that is another struggle for children.

Poke'mon and MLP are certainly one of the best worlds to be in.... a lot of other shows are less world building (other shows I watch) than those so the idea of them bore me. ....
Yea, probably those.

It actually French. There's a lot of story, but if you start at the beginning, it's about four high school students finding an old supercomputer in some nearby ruins that contains a virtual world called Lyoko. There's a girl in there called Aeilita, and a living virus called X.A.N.A. X.A.N.A can mess with the real world by possessing people and electronics. The kids then use "virtualizers" to travel to Lyoko and fight X.A.N.A's monsters.

Obviously MLP: Friendship Is Magic. Equestria is so peaceful and less stressful and you get to be a pony! Everything about it is so cute it's my dream world. Forget about the technology we have, I'd rather be friends with the ponies in Ponyville and hang out with Fluttershy and Twilight Sparkle. I'd be an alicorn BTW.
Exactly what I'd say. But another show would be Code Lyoko. Seriously, going into a computer to fight a sentient virus! Also PokemonI want a Fletchling.

Here's my issue: I was quite interested in the first Equestria Girls movie, and to be frank, it didn't live up to my expectations at all. Not to say I didn't enjoy watching it, but it just wasn't that very good. And now they are making a sequel? With rock concerts? And even crazier looking antagonists? Based off what I saw in the first one, what I actually got, and the rule of sequels, this is going to be quite bad. I'm rather scared about what it's gonna turn out to be
Well, even if the movie turns out to be bad, we can look on the bright side that we're going to get at least one really good catchy song. Daniel Ingram makes so many great songs, there's bound to be one that catches on in Rainbow Rocks, like Help Twilight Get The Crown did in the first EG movie.
It's more then just the music though. What he's trying to say is that Rainbow Rocks is still going to be a bad movie since the plot won't be great. I don't think I'll be that bad but I respect the opinions of other fans. If you ask me and other bronies though, an actual movie about the PONIES and just the ponies of MLP FIM being on their most dangerous adventure yet would definitely boost sales for Hasbro while at the same time being a summer blockbuster if release to theaters nationwide. They should seriously consider it in 2015 in honor of the 5th anniversary of G4 and make it the finale for the cartoon as well. After all, SpongeBob's first movie in November 2004 was intended to have been the ending for SpongeBob but Viacom/Nickelodeon decided to renew the series and to this day it's still on. Just a suggestion.
I know what he's saying. What I was saying is that, even if the plot is bad, at least we'll get good music out of it. For example, the season 3 finale wasn't that good of an episode, but we got really awesome songs from it.
IDK, I kind of like the idea of Twilight transforming into an alicorn. She does look more cuter as one.
I don't mind her turning into an alicorn. The episode just wasn't as entertaining, aside from the great songs. This may partially be due to the fact that they were constricted to a single episode rather than doing their usual two-parter thing.
Quote from: cloudwilk on 2014 Aug 05, 09:14:30
Honestly, I really liked the Alicorn thing... heck, I like the Rainbowfied ponies and Twilight's castle, too. I love seeing change in cartoons >w< Honestly, I don't feel like it's very rushed, either. I mean there's was still a lot of home-life episodes between them.

Because nobody would use the standard races. And we don't know as much about other races compared to the normal ponies.
Earth ponies would still reign supreme in my book.
XD I laugh with you only because earth ponies seriously need more love... and that's coming from a Pegasus

Eh, granted they had smoking then but there was plenty more than was oppressed then as well ^^' There is just a certain style, though in the original Looney Tunes, that never would come back. They've tried with things like Tiny Toons and Animaniacs (Of which I liked... the later anyway. Didn't see the prior.) But it just doesn't work out the same way anymore. What people look for in cartoons has changed... but it's not necessarily a bad thing, just different. I do like how world building and continuation is playing a bigger role in cartoons nowadays. Adventure Time is another popular one, for instance. (Though, personally, I don't care for Adventure Time... mostly because the humor feels too forced for me)
G5.... I feel up in the air about. Though it is too soon to really think on... I have a feeling that they might just go back to the original formula or try too hard to captivate G4's glory... I mean, I've seen too many bad sequels. Granted, its a show. But I still get a sneaking suspicion. Not to say I gave up hope for G5, because there's also a side that's excited to see what will happen... but when it all balances out I'm rather neutral. Honestly, I'm just hoping G4 can have a good run. If it does get cancelled, that's fine. As long as it was able to really tell its story and not get cut off too short or go until it just dies.
Quote from: cloudwilk on 2014 Aug 05, 09:34:58
Between those three.... I'm thinking the geometric shapes... in 3D. 3D is becoming really popular in young kids entertainment and I think it'll become dominant by the time G5 comes around. I'm crossing my paws hoping 2D won't become what stop-motion is today but... good luck

Now it makes a lot more sense to me. Lauren Faust was trying to change the image of cartoons intended for little girls to have real lessons on friendship and not be all girly too-shoes. She was trying to create a creative cartoon that would boost the sales for MLP while preventing any criticism over the looks of the ponies and the lack of real conflict. It's ironic that she knew that people would label MLP FIM as cheap and girlish, yet look what it's became. It's the longest running television show based on the franchise! And I'm certain she never would've expected an adult fandom to rise. She did a lot to save MLP and we should be lucky to have her. The fact that people starting uploading full episodes of the show after it started also would've helped with the adult fandom's beginnings. It's also interesting that an article was released not too long after Discovery Kids ended that was called "the creator-driven era" was coming to an end. Well, that didn't seem to be the case with some shows apparently. Especially this one! It's the only cartoon I'll watch on TV now that still on the air. I thought it started because some men were watching the show with their little daughters and founded out how good it was. I'm wondering if the "Meet the Ponies" clips are still around somewhere? Why were they on the MLP site before the show aired? Was it just prior to the Hub's launch and the end of G3.5 to show the new generation and show? BTW, did Hasbro plan G4 as early as 2007? Just wanted to know because Faust's drawing go back to some pitch bible in 2008 when G3.5 was just introduced. Who made G3 also? I'd want to know that one.
Yes I totally adore her!Now I'm gonna try to address all your questions in chronological order:
1) You can find the official "Meet the Ponies!" vids on the official MLP youtube channel. Scroll down 'til you see any video titled "Meet (insert pony here)".
2) You guessed right! G3.5 was ending and Hasbro was getting ready for its new generation. They even had flash games that gave you an idea of what the show would look like before they even posted the videos.
3) That's a good question. I know in 2009, L.F. was pretty much MIA from the interwebz because she was working on MLP. The earliest we ever heard of this (at least from her specifically) was on January 1st, 2010.
4) I'm not sure who made G3I had just assumed it was a bunch of Hasbro executives making whatever they assumed that Little Girls were into.
Quote from: cloudwilk on 2014 Aug 05, 09:31:58
I think as long as its popular... Hasbro will be able to sell those things for years to come XD They've been doing them regardless of show since the 80's. Granted, that is a huge growth rate, but it will eventually level off and I don't think this particular show will be reliant on that. Nothing's gonna stop them from a G5 after this one's passed.
G2 was the only generation I know that doesn't have any animated specials or TV shows. Just an old CD-ROM game called MLP: Friendship Gardens. Not a bad game, but it does have the only animations at all of G2 MLP ponies!!! I don't think Hasbro bothered trying to create a TV show based off of G2 and G3. Not sure why, though?

I seem to have headaches, tummy aches, feeling sick, unable to sleep, always tired, can't think straight like I'm in a daze...all this stuff... 24/7...To top it all off I got plantar warts in my hooves really bad, so it hurts to even walk...I just feel like I'm falling apart.
I literally lose depth perception at times...and feel like I'm about to puke at others...this has been going on for a while...so I don't think I'm sick... If I ingest anything (Even water) I get dreadfully sick... I just want to be better again... :'(
Hope you feel better soon.

I remember I got into FiM when Lauren Faust posted a link to the first episode on her DeviantArt!
Season 1. Good times, good times..
She has a DeviantArt too!? What animator and artist these days don't?
I wondering if this is after Faust founded out about the posts on 4Chan and decided to put a link on her DeviantArt to attract more fans!
BTW, what was posted on 4Chan back during the series premiere in 2010 that got people's attention into liking this show!?
Yep, here it is: http://fyre-flye.deviantart.com/
Also she had her deviant art account for 9 years now. I was watching her about 2 years before FiM had aired. It makes me wish I had saved her original concept art for the mane 6 in a larger size before she deleted themIt was through her deviantART that I found out that she got put in charge of revamping the franchise to begin with
As for what got 4chan interested in FiM, it was a lot of things. Most people on the /co/ (cartoon) board already knew who Lauren Faust was. Not to mention, before the show had even aired, there were little "Meet the Ponies!" clips floating around on the official MLP site. From this, a controversial Ms Magazine article was created, (It has since been deleted) claiming that the show was....well, to put it lightly, "going to be a lot of horrible things". Faust wrote a brilliant rebuttal of course, so that got 4chan even more curious. As did another controversial article, claiming that everything would soon become commercialized and that the "creator-driven era" was coming to an end.
It was also helpful that people uploaded full length episodes in HD on youtube which made the show much more accessable (before it came to DVD or Netflix) and everything just spiraled out of control from there!

I actually didn't watch Season 1 until after the season had ended.
Because I wasn't a brony yet. I kept hearing too much about it and saw stuff about it on several forums I visited.
I started considering checking it out. Due to what it was... I felt like I was losing my sanity (which explains my username).
Eventually I caved and viewed S1E1 on YouTube. I got through the first season relatively quickly after that.
The rest is history I guess you could say..

Probably don't understand the idea of being responsible with money. Don't give them money and tell them to spend less then they get on their salary. I'm sorry you have to deal with that!
Of course, they don't, they've both gone bankrupt in the past, one of them TWICE. I usually get along with my sisters but when it comes to money they're the world's worst.
They seem to be forgetting that they were both married when they moved out. When I moved out I WAS ON MY OWN! I had no wife, no girlfriend, no roommates. I left my mom's house with a minimum wage job and $3000 to my name, but I made it work. I've never once overdrawn my bank account, I've never once been late on rent or bills. I paid off my $23,000 car note in 3 years.
I don't have cable TV, they both do. I don't smoke cigarettes, they both do. I don't drink alcohol, they both do. Noticing a pattern here? Why should I share what I've purposefully lived humbly to save, while they live like queens?

Yet again, you impress me with your massive amount of wisdom, my friend.
If you're hurting for money, be frugal.
If you ask for a loan, make sure you can pay it back.
If you want to have habits or hobbies, try and pick inexpensive ones.
Live your life around how much you can afford, don't let your possessions live you.
My dad taught me that one. I think most people could stand to actually listen to their parents once in a while.
